About the restaurant La Chaparrita

Real Mexican food. Authentic. The service was excellent, and the cook explained all the dishes and told us a lot of stories. Highly advisable

The food was great but the portions were rather small. 14€ for fajita meat, some beans, rice and guac was definitely on the high side. My friends got quesadillas that were 8€ and they weren't much bigger than a bread plate. There was a set menu option that we were interested in but it was really confusing and our server could not explain it to us so that didjt help. We also got pitchers of margaritas instead of personal because the server said they were big enough for 4-5 people. Be My a party of 9 we ordered two and we're extremely disappointed when only 3 of our glasses were filled. The pitchers can only fill 3 glasses so we ended up paying 5€ for each instead of 4€. All in all, I'm from California so I know good Mexican food and this was definitely tasty, but the price and quality of service made it sub par. Hope this helps and have a great time in Sevilla!

This restaurant is off the beaten (i.e., touristy) path, which is a nice change. The food was tasty. I had guacamole (clearly freshly made), the spicy pork tacos, and a margarita. The owner was lovely. He joked with us, invited us to stand in front of the air conditioning vent when we walked in quite sweaty, and id a native of Mexico. It was a good experience all around.

Unexpected find in Seville. Tiny restaurant so be sure to book. Amazing rustic Mexican food - best con queso I've had in years!
