Haut en saveurs – La Chistera est le nom espagnol pour le haut de forme et c’est, en effet, une cuisine typique basque et haute en saveurs que le Chef vous proposera. Les piquillos farcis côtoient le poisson frais du jour et le foie gras s’invite à table chaque jour.

Terrasse et bon temps – La ville d’Arles regorge de petits trésors historiques et d’une culture régionale vivante et joyeuse. Sur la terrasse de la Chistera, accompagné d’un gâteau basque, vous aurez le temps de penser à votre façon de la rencontrer ou la redécouvrir.

Lovely fish dishes with tasty accompaniments. Wait for the dessert was a bit long.

The food was disappointing and relatively expensive. Some of the choices on the menu were not available. The waitress was pleasant but not well informed about the wine list. Could do better.

Although the waitress didn't speak much English she did her best to help us understand the menu. We had a nice relaxed meal in comfortable surroundings. I enjoyed black pig with a dessert whose name I forget but was little filo parcels of rich chocolate with chilli sprinkled on top served with cream and a fruit sauce - delicious.

Peu de choix, pas de menu, carte chère 9€50 entrées, 17,50€ plats.
Beaucoup d'attente entre les plats car deux personnes en tout, cuisine et salle.
Erreur sur le règlement de l'addition.
Petite salle très bruyante.

While most of the meal was excellent, when it came time to get coffee an day the bill, no one was to be seen. After waiting 30 minutes, I went inside to get the bill and it still took 5 montes to get it and pay. The portion size on the steak tartar was enormous.

Disappointing when looking at what was served: Sangria was clearly not home made and coming out of a can, Tapas platter is very expensive for what is on, Tartare de Boeuf is a more a beef mixed purée than anything; lastly, the Basque cheese as dessert with its 3 very thin slices and 30g of warm and oily cheese just convinced us not to recommend this restaurant at all!
