La Chusquery was worth the effort to get there (our taxi driver relied on our Google Maps app). One of the best meals w attentive service that we had in our 3 weeks' in Spain. Excellent flavor, great portions, nice wine assortment. We were inside (it was still hot outside at 9:30) but neighborhood regulars and casual diners lingered long under the umbrellas. Def must dine here!
Quite good food in a good atmosphere but it lacks service quality. One of the waiters was quite rude with us. For a restaurant in a such turistic place, he needs to learn to be polite.
Excellent modern Spanish cuisine. The salad with burrata and semi-dried tomatoes is one of the best salads we've had in Spain. The steak was ordered a punto and came very rare - we sent it back for more cooking which was a shame, although the end result was still very enjoyable. Service was good despite a pintxos festival in La Latina which had the bar area hopping. Interesting, non-standard wine selection.
The food was fabulous! The service needs work. Our friendly host was happy to see us, spoke very good English, told us to relax and then spoke so fast and zipped back and forth to the table we were unable to. We started our evening with cava to drink (just ok) and asked for help choosing a wine with our meals, which never happened...we ate and waited for him to come back to suggest something. Our request for a second bottle of water was ignored (and we had to have it removed from our bill). We shared a dessert and I asked for a suggestion for a sweet wine, which was sour and I drinkable, which I told him, but it was not removed from our bill.
We found La Chusquery almost by accident, while searching for nearby restaurants on "The Fork" (El Tenedor, La Fourchette). Once we entered the trendy looking place, we were warmly welcomed by a very jovial Maitre who attended to us immediately. The quality of the food was a pleasant surprise and clearly this establishment aims at quality and originality. They did achieve it with flying colors. We particularly liked - fhe foie - the Tataki of Fish - the bacalao (Cod Fish) - and the Cavalla. I would be a full perfect experience if serving times were a little bit faster. Highly recommended and will return
We were a group of 7, so we had a chance to try various dishes, and all of them were delicious . This is a very creative, interesting and well balanced kitchen. The service was very nice and pleasant, and the whole experience was very satisfying. Very recommended restaurant.

El restaurante La Chusquery se ubica en el casco histórico de Madrid, entre la plaza de Los Carros y de la Paja, en el barrio de La Latina. Un comedor que une tradición española y el producto exótico para resultar agradablemente atrevidos y diferentes.
