Nice setting, slow service for a small Meal, nouvelle cuisine ? Small portions quite expensive main course at 35euros each The veal was ok but lacked taste and enjoyability Overall quite mediocre for high prices

A truly fabulous evening. We had pre dinner drinks at Le Petit Caban next door watching the sun set over the Gironde and then proceeded into the restaurant where we received a warm welcome and were shown to our table. Both the a la carte and the plat du jour menus offered a great choice and when our food promptly arrived, after some great aperitifs, we were not disappointed. The food was superb and was very cooked perfectly. Throughout, our meal the table service was very attentive and professional. We are definitely coming back as we are staying in Blaye for quite a while!! Thanks all for a lovely evening. The Citadelle is Highly Recommended.
