10/10Delicious food in a small authentic French restaurant. The uninterrupted views of the Rance from the restaurant are beautiful. We have been to this restaurant several times now and look forward to the next visit. Highly recommended

9.5/10I booked this restaurant as it had great reviews and was just out of St Malo so we could see another area. The views are stunning and sitting outside on the balcony just made it very special. Not easy to get to. You need to take a taxi.

5/10We had booked this restaurant for the evening of the Fête Nationale. The highlight of the restaurant is the location and the lovely view over the harbour at St Servan and the Rance estuary. However from the minute we turned up and the staff saw we had children with us we felt unwelcome and from then on very awkward. Every other table received bread, appetisers and bottles of tap water. When we tried to ask for water and despite my bad French trying to get the message across that it was tap water we wanted like the other tables, we were brought a bottle of mineral water which we were then charged €7 for at the end of the evening. The food was ok but very expensive for what it was. My main was a potted duck parmentier which while tasty enough was mostly potato with very little duck and only a simple salad on the side. My wife had a vegetable crumble, again tasty enough but in my opinion as with my dish not worth €24. Our children were offered chicken or fish in a cream sauce with vegetables, again it was ok but we were charged €12 for each. Overall a disappointing experience.

8.5/10The view of Tour Solidor and the bay beyond is a feast for the eyes. Over many years we’ve enjoyed La Corderie’s changing fish and seafood menu, always well-prepared, copious, and reasonably priced. Food is always fresh, especially “poisson du jour”, but can be overcooked and underseasoned. The chef does very well within their own tradition, but generally miss with dishes like fish curry or the amuse-bouche of beets and tahini, which is best left for Syrian/Lebanese restaurants.

10/10We were late but the owner was very kind about it and we had a wonderful table on the terrace overlooking the river. This is a wonderful restaurant up a quiet lane with no traffic noise. The seafood dishes are superb. Not a wealth of choices if you cant eat fish but I had a wonderful duck confit and an apple and caramel dessert. We had a lovely time here and was worth the walk from Saint Malo to Saint Servan.
