Very nice historic upscale place to eat with wonderful food and service! Expect to spend a minimum of 2 hours here for dinner. We loved everything about the restaurant! They are also open on Sunday evenings, which is very rare in France. Menu in French and English, and our server spoke French and English. If you love quality food and wine and service this is your place!

Delicious Dover sole meunière and the soufflé was like eating a flavored cloud - light as air. Beautiful ambience in a building dating back to 1345. Service friendly and impeccable. No wonder this restaurant inspired Julia Child to take French Cooking lessons!

We had a very enjoyable meal a La Couronne. The food was very good, the mood was jovial and relaxed, It was lunch and only the ground floor was full. We both had the Normandie dans le Assiete, and felt each course was well-prepared. My only complaint was that I didnt feel we got as much attention as the French speakers. I wasn’t asked if I wanted coffee after the meal, for example; I had to practically flag down our waiter to request service. That was something I didnt expect here.

We had a lovely evening at your fabulous restaurant. We were however disappointed to find out we couldn't order the duck as we had not pre-ordered. Honestly we chose your restaurant just to have the duck after watching the video on your website. We saw no place on your site telling us we needed to order in order advance. We suggest you make that clear for others.

Such a beautiful and historic restaurant. We had lunch in the room where Julia Childs had eaten so many years ago. Wonderful service and fresh flowers all around the room. Food was wonderful though I will not eat a guineafowl again but at least we tried it.

Habiamos reservado a traves de TheFork y al llegar nos dijeron que solo había mesa en la terraza, pero hacia algo de frio. Entonces nos llevaron a otro comedor grandísimo que estaba vacío. La verdad es que me decepcionó la acogida.

The food and the place were fabulous. Restaurant has indeed a charm. However, the service was really slow and a little bit clumsy as well. But they were polite and nice, thus the overall experience was still good ????

We had such high hopes and were excited to dine at the restaurant that inspired Julia Child. It was such a disappointment, particularly with respect to the service, which bordered on neglectful. Diners around us, who were French-speaking, were served promptly and with a smile. We were not. We wanted to enjoy this meal.

Went for lunch and enjoyed a wonderful meal. We were not in a hurry and hung out for three hours. Each course was delicious and everyone was so nice.

The quality of the food is good, but we have never seen a thinner slice of fois gras in any restaurant although it was bery tasty. Somewhat presumptuous to be given a menu card after being seated for a long while and discover this being only a cocktail card - which we didn't want. When finally getting the real menu card with the message that they have all wines not indicated as sold out, although maybe in a newer vintage, it appeared after waiting for 10-15 minutes after ordering that the chosen wine was sold out. Generally, slow service also for removing finished plates. Rear dining room on 1st floor, which is a nice looking room, was unfortumately sometimes smelling of frying oil during our dinner.

This is one great place full of history to enjoy your meal. Food is of great quality and service friendly. This place was open already when Jean D’Arc was tried and killed. It’s crazy to even think about it. But learning how good it is, well it’s not surprising.
