This famous restaurant lived up to its hype. It's sunken dining room is full of charm and has such a warm ambience. The service was impeccable and the attention to detail was something we always savor in reputable restaurants. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience here with the oysters. My son got food poisioning after our visit. We shared the same platter, but it only takes one! The food was delicious otherwise, the lamb, the guinea fowl and the dessert of millefeuille.

Best food in Rouen. Staff was excellent always ready with the next course and always checking to make sure the customer was enjoying the food. The ambiance was incredible especially the entry in which a plethora photos of the rich and famous who have dined at the restaurant over the years. Truly the “crown” belongs to this fabulous restaurant.

A história do lugar e sensacional!!!! Aliás, adoro ambiente com este propósito!!!! O menu como um todo e muito bom e adequado portanto relação custo/benefício e ótima!!!! Achei um pouco demorado tanto o atendimento e o primeiro prato, mas não atrapalhou o programa!!! Recomendo muito pela experiência vale a pena!!!!

Expensive , worst meal of our entire trip. My fish was mushy, my husband's meat not at all tasty. Save your money and go to one of the galette cafes. Better food and better value

The service & ambiance were 5 star. The food was mediocre, at best. Disappointed in the quality of the food given that reviews gave it high marks. All in all, enjoyed our dining experience, but would not return. Too many other restaurants that serve excellent food.

We have dined in several Michelin starred restaurants in France. The food here was very well and delicately flavored and compares well, if not better, to many others in the same ranking. The service while polite was less than fully informative and mistakes were mde on our order which came as an untimely surprise at dessert time. We would not have expected this of a restaurant of this caliber. We understand the desire to recreate a medieval ambiance for what is after all the oldest restaurant in France. But some of the furnishings could use refurbishing and the quantity of celebrity photos verged on clutter. Altogether though a positive experience which we enjoyed.

This restaurant was recommended to me by one of co-workers, who has traveled to France many times. I’m so glad I took him up on this suggestion because the food was excellent! We chose the pre-set Impressionist Menu and the options were fantastic. We had pork and fish as our main entrees and unique desserts presented in clever ways (hot figs with ice cream). I really enjoyed the experience here and would recommend it anyone visiting Rouen.

Very nice historic upscale place to eat with wonderful food and service! Expect to spend a minimum of 2 hours here for dinner. We loved everything about the restaurant! They are also open on Sunday evenings, which is very rare in France. Menu in French and English, and our server spoke French and English. If you love quality food and wine and service this is your place!

Delicious Dover sole meunière and the soufflé was like eating a flavored cloud - light as air. Beautiful ambience in a building dating back to 1345. Service friendly and impeccable. No wonder this restaurant inspired Julia Child to take French Cooking lessons!

We had a very enjoyable meal a La Couronne. The food was very good, the mood was jovial and relaxed, It was lunch and only the ground floor was full. We both had the Normandie dans le Assiete, and felt each course was well-prepared. My only complaint was that I didnt feel we got as much attention as the French speakers. I wasn’t asked if I wanted coffee after the meal, for example; I had to practically flag down our waiter to request service. That was something I didnt expect here.

We had a lovely evening at your fabulous restaurant. We were however disappointed to find out we couldn't order the duck as we had not pre-ordered. Honestly we chose your restaurant just to have the duck after watching the video on your website. We saw no place on your site telling us we needed to order in order advance. We suggest you make that clear for others.

Such a beautiful and historic restaurant. We had lunch in the room where Julia Childs had eaten so many years ago. Wonderful service and fresh flowers all around the room. Food was wonderful though I will not eat a guineafowl again but at least we tried it.

Habiamos reservado a traves de TheFork y al llegar nos dijeron que solo había mesa en la terraza, pero hacia algo de frio. Entonces nos llevaron a otro comedor grandísimo que estaba vacío. La verdad es que me decepcionó la acogida.
