8/10Although we enjoyed our experience at La Cucina Italiana, we thought it could definitely be better. The burrata appetizer we had was good, as was the pesto gnocchi, but we felt the carbonara was bland and too thick. The service was good and the ambiance was fine. Overall, it was just a good experience but nothing special.

9.5/10This is a lovely little restaurant serving truly delicious dishes at quite resonable prices. It's completely off the beaten track, yet only a 10 minute taxi drive away from the touristic hussle. Very friendly staff and superior service! We met a Finnish couple there who live in the area and they told us La Cucina is one of their favorites. Totally understand why!

10/10La Cucina Italiana exceeded all of my expectations. Dining here is like dining in a small family run restaurant in Italy. The owner (who is from Italy along with most of the staff) personally explained the specials before we ordered. The lasagna bolognese was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had.

8/10There is no question, the quality of the food here is superb. It is a proper Italian, offering four course dining. We ordered two courses, pasta and main , which were excellent., as was the fairly pricy bottle of wine. There was a significant wait for the main, we decided to share a dessert but having waited 40 minutes we gave up and cancelled, we were tired after a long journey. The waiter apologised for the wait saying the kitchen is small and everyone turned up at once. This establishment is charging high prices for top end food - so our expectations were that the kitchen and service would match. I think the problem is that the setting does not suit the formal high end resturant this place aspires to be. It is mainly a street based place on a thoughfare buzzing with good street cafes. I get the impression that many people come for a plate of pasta and a glass of wine and the kitchen and service can'treally cope with the turnover.
