About the restaurant La Dame de Pic - Anne-Sophie PIC - Paris

"PARIS LOUVRE - In the heart of the capital: stonework walls, bright and chocolate-colored shades, tables nicely set with chandeliers, kitchen open to the room, you enter into a Mecca of gastronomy here.

THE CHEF - Anne-Sophie Pic was born in 1969 in Valencia and grew up in the world of gastronomy. As a child she lived just above kitchens but she only discovered her talent for cooking much later. She first directed here attention to management studies in Paris, before working in New York and Japan. It was only in 1992, when her father expired, that Anne-Sophie Pic took up the management of the family restaurant.

HIGH-FLYING LADY - Anne-Sophie Pic offers to enter her gourmet world, two watchwords here: fragrance and flavors. These two secret ingredients accompany all of her creations and arouse your senses in the most elegant manner possible. Complex agreements and refined textures for a result, which is gourmet first and foremost. Excellent appétit !"

Service was rough & sloppy considering that it’s supposed to be a starred restaurant. We had to ask for the menu 3 times. The woman manager also forgot to get the Sommelier for us so again we had to ask. And they were far from full. At the end of our meal she practically slapped the leather docket on our table while she was fiddling with the cc machine. Almost like a bull in a china shop syndrome.
Food wise, some dishes were good, others not so. There was often a lack of balance like certain elements being too sour or lacking in seasoning. Temperatures also were not consistent with the food coming to the table tepid. For a 350 euro lunch I think it’s only reasonable for us to have expectations. Honestly I don’t know why or how they kept their star.

This is the perfect lunch I could imagine. The food is delicious, delicate and satisfying. The service is 10 out of 10 and the atmosphere is cozy while comfortable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was so excited to visit this restaurant during our stay in Paris. Something special for my mom's birthday. The staff was awesome and the atmosphere/decor warm and comfortable. I knew the price going in to this experience so it was no shock. However, even though the dishes were meticulously prepared and beautiful to behold, the menu offerings were limited and the meat selections...mullet, pigeon, rabbit, or 4 potatoes on a plate with flowers and one piece of grilled leek (the vegetarian offering), some of the cheapest, most common, "poor man's" selections. For over 105 euro per person...how about lamb, sea bass, wagyu beef? The food was tasty, very different, but not great. I was embarrassed that these were the offerings.

Food was beautifully presented. A lot of Asian Japanese ingredients influence. Some dishes were abit too floral for my personal taste. Overall enjoyed the interesting dishes, wine selection and ambience.

LOVE the subtle feminism in the decor of this lovely nook next to the Louvre! I like Ann-Sophie and her cooking philosophy watching some cooking and dining TV shows and always wanted to try this place. It was the last day of our honeymoon in Paris and last meal before boarding and boy was it perfect to end the trip. From decor to plating to taste, everything was subtle with burst of flavors from the star ingredients. Each plate has its own star, pairing and palette cleanser (usually something a bit tangy or sour on the side). Lunch menu was 59 Euros with 2 main courses and 1 dessert. There are two tasting menus available, only difference is that the more expensive one has one more main course, 109 and 139 Euros respectively - good value for a Michelin 1 star with a celebrity chef. I'd stop by the next time I'm in Paris (especially if I'm in the Louvre area).

Felt lucky to be seated in the corner, more privacy, we thought. I guess the staff is generally used to the time clock of serving guests when dining customers do order and drink wine in the beginning of the meal. I state this coz the timing of how our dining experience began took quite some time, and as we only ordered flat mineral h2o. Was seated about 15-20 mins already before everything was sorted out. Wouldn’t have been such a deal, really, if only we weren’t hungry. But I do hope, they do take notice of this next time. Besides this that I’ve noticed, everything else was satisfactory! We had the menu Gourmandise..The dishes, once it commenced, came right on time one after another. Every dish was mind-bangingly good! My partner and I would whisper “Yep, yep this is reallll good” to every dish with almost every bite. Worth the money, I think. The servers are relaxed and friendly. Location is easy to access and to locate as it is next to Louvre.
