Hit & Miss - this used to be one of our favourite restaurants as it covered a number of styles and our group tends to cover as many vegetarians as meat eaters. The wine and attractive surroundings remain the same but something has happened to the food. Last night 5 of us sat down for a lovely meal but 3 of us left disappointed. The spaghetti arribiata lacked its usual spice, the four cheese spaghetti was almost tasteless in a milk like sauce and the entrecôte steak was inedible - just gristle. In fairness they exchanged it for an Aberdeen Angus steak which was lovely but by that stage everyone else had finished their meals. The question now is do we risk another bad experience at the same venue? We all decided that they must have changed the chef for such a dramatic turnaround of standards.
