I was a little disappointed mostly because of the excellent reviews so I was expecting something really exceptional and unfortunately it wasn’t. My entrecôte steak was large but not tasty. Maybe I was just unlucky.

The portions were very small and the flavours a bit bland. The experience was ok but not special. We booked 6 months in advance and we’re not offered a choice of inside or out. Two hours before we went to the restaurant and asked to be outside but we’re told we just had to take pur chances. Not good service

The service was really good here and the food was excellent too. I had sweetbreads for the first time and my wife had a whole lobster too. Overall they accommodated well for her dairy allergy, using a tomato sauce for her dishes instead of the usual creamy ones.

You'll have to book early for this popular restaurant. It's really worth booking! We went on a wet Tuesday night in January, the place filled up quickly. Fabulous food and lovely staff, helpful and caring. Probably the best restaurant in La Rochelle. We will definitely be going again!

well situated in old town near to marinas. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and attentive. Very helpful in explaining the menus, etc. Food was very good, the soupe de poisson was excellent, among other things. The wine choice was good and not too expensive. All in all, we had a very pleasant evening.

This is a fast moving and popular place. Somewhat noisy dining room with menus at 20 & 30 €. We ordered two of the former and unfortunately both fish dishes contained meat ! — the squid dish was copious but dull and unappetising. The “tiramisu de crevettes roses” hors d’œuvre was interesting and one of the desserts was good — panna cotta. Service very fast and impersonal. Wines by the glass are probably overpriced.
