La Grande Ourse is a very nice, quiet neighborhood restaurant with excellent food and service. We were greeted cordially and the owner graciously switched to English (even though we really should speak French) to show us the evening’s choices. We had a delicious oyster tartare and a beautiful foie gras plate to start, then sea bass and a perfectly cooked rack of lamb. We conversed with the owner in English and French (she had spent time in Baltimore) and were completely at home. Highly recommended.

Considering the big build up on Trip Advisor I found the experience a little underwhelming. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived which I found strange on a Saturday evening. As with a lot of a la carte menus the food was more about style than substance.Good food but very overpriced.Left still feeling hungry and considerably lighter in the wallet.

Each item in the meal was delicious. For 38 euros you pick from a small selection of firsts, seconds and desserts. The chef is a genius. The wine was outstanding.

We had a two couple dinner to celebrate obtaining babysitting in Paris. The husband and wife team were excellent tonight. The specials were very appreciated, such as a cold gazpacho with moules (during a heat wave), and Turbot and Rock fish. Because of the heat, we were parched, but were well stocked with continuous ice for out water, sodas and wine bucket. This, in itself should earn this establishment 6 stars! All the dishes were excellent, the foie gras, shrimp, gazpacho, and pea soup starters followed by the lamb x 2, rock fish and turbot. Desserts were also well crafted and not too sweet. We ate outside and admired the nice neighborhood street and building facades as the sun set at 2130. Took an Uber there and back, but not on a Main Street which was great. Overall, a great meal without feeling too light in the wallet or heavy in the gullet.
