The kangaroo and duck was very good. It was good value for the price and fun to be able to eat kangarooo. The cook/ waitres was very nice. Changes could have been done to improve the entrance that almost made us leave even if we had booked a table - because it looked sad. The terrase was sweet but could also need a facelift. For example several plants by the terrace to hide more of the messy working place below, leading the fokus to the water view.

Love this restaurant. Once again we were delighted to experience an excellent meal, fantastic service and delightful music from duo La Quimera. A very good French restaurant with interesting menu and tasty well cooked dishes. Great staff and ambiance. Terrace terrific on warm days and often has events including music and dancing on Sunday lunch times. Worth a journey.

This restaurant disappointed at so many levels. The entrance is through the indoor seating area and is very basic for the restaurant prices. There was very little in way of greeting. The terrace is very pretty with the lights. The food was poorly presented and the vegetables looked like a scoop from a school canteen. Over cooked greens with a few saute potatoes. Overall the worst dining experience we had in Tenerife in 12 days of being there. Really not worth the joureny up the hill from Alcala.

Good afternoon, we are honestly surprised about your feedback and critics. In thé most of the cases the Restaurants we know, thé terrace has to be reached through the Restaurant, unless thé ones having thé terrace in front on the street on the sidewalk. Just inform, that our main terrace can be easily accessed directly from the own parking, also for wheelchairs, as from the smaller terrace and from the indoor Restaurant. We offer a modern french kitchen in a country inn and do not aim to offer haute cuisine at all. This is what we comunícate and stand for. We are using only fresh and as long as possible, local products. Many others do not offer this. A changing variation and preparation of vegetables and potatoes and small menu grants a variety. Sorry we could not cope with your expectations and are happy you had good experiences in the Bars and Restaurants of Alcala and surroundings.

I never wrote a review before but since this restaurant does really not deserve this rating, I will write my first one. The guy is a total mess a big liar. We arrived at 7:57 pm instead of saying welcome he shouted that we reserved at 9 pm not 8 pm we didn’t say anything, then he came to the table telling us that, that night they had a particular night and since we arrived early if we want we can have a fixed menu as others or we have to wait. We clarified that we did not arrived early and that we booked the table at 8 pm( we didn’t even hear a word of sorry … ). I asked him how long is it gonna take and he said 15 minutes, while ordering we told him that as soon as a dish is ready please bring it on the table. My husband ordered at 8:05 and as usual since we have a young child I left the table with my son till the food will get ready… they brought us the starter at 8:30. After 5 min my husband asked if the rest is not ready yet? He said after the starter we said that we asked to bring everything as soon as it gets ready he said ok in 2 minutes… we received our main dishes at 8:45 when I mentioned that he said that it will takes only 15 minutes and not an hour he asked me to leave the restaurant mentioning that we ordered at 8:15 and everything seems fine to him because he brought the starter at 8:30 and the food 15 min later … he is a liar … a total mess The worst experience that I had in my life….

Interesting reading. You changed the story completely. You have been asked to leave the Restauant when you started shouting to our staff - thing we will never tolerate. Surrounding tables can testify this and did wonder.about your actitud since your arrival. Sometimes we wish to have an application to rate our customers.......

We have eaten at La Guinguette for a number of times now and had our Easter diner there recently and it proved to be our best meal yet. The food and presentation were superb and the atmosphere relaxed as usual with music at a comfortable level as not to interfere with normal table conversation, we can hardly wait to experience Isabelle’s cooking skills again.

We have been going to La Ginguette for a number of years now and it is still our favorite place for a nice, relaxing and very affordable meal. Sunday lunch is something special with live music, dancing and a very nice atmosphere. The menu changes on a regular basis and there is always enough choice for every taste, the service is very attentive and if you ask for it they will stretch the interval between courses so your lunch can easily last from 1 until 4 if you so desire, I know we always do.

There was good music and some guests were dancing, which was very pleasant. The boss was very friendly and gave us a french menu. The dishes were original and of very good quality. They seemed to be of fresh market products and tasted very good. Excellent wine and a reasonable bill.

We were there on a Friday evening. Food was excellent, service also. However, there were only two other tables occupied, the restaurant looked therefore quite empty.

Wonderful restaurant full of character and charm. The quality of the food and the service was very good. Sitting under the trees with stunning view, listening to the musician play, what more could you ask for. Will definitely go again
