British beware. I have never left a negative review in my life, but my experience here truly upset me and my friend. They very clearly do not like British customers and I think they would be best placed to lie and say they are fully booked. Waiter seemed nice and seated us in a window seat, took our order of 2 starters and 2 mains and a bottle of wine. Starters arrived fairly quickly as did another 2 women who were seated near our table, the two wen were instantly put out by our presence, I don't know if perhaps we were in their regular seat but it was very clear from the constant stares and them passing their phones back and forth they were not impressed. After our starter plates had sat there for an age the waitress asked if we wanted dessert, we said no we want out mains, she laughed and 1 arrived a short while later, with no cutlery, we had to ask again for the 2nd main, and again no cutlery, we then could see the waitress laughing at us with the 2 women. Left soon after.

Some excellent food at very reasonable prices, but some failures. Our entrées were excellent, quite substantial, good quality, and low prices. Same for the pizza. But my Veal Scaloppini in Armagnac was drowned in a bland, tasteless, cream sauce - no hint of Armagnac. Kitchen seems very slow resulting in very long waits for food.

The whole experience was very disappointing. We ordered three dishes, one as an entree to share and the other two as main. For reasons we could not quite understand, they brought the first and one of the main together. Service wasn’t good either, no explanations, no apologies and as if what they were doing was absolutely normal.

The waiter was wonderful and very kind. The food exelence, it was one of the bests carpaccions i’ve ever tried. We want to repeat again before leaving Bordeaux. Thank u for all!

Loved the basil pesto. Good creme brulee but it was hot in some places and cold in others. Cute informal spot. Second visit to a La Mama restaurant.

Great pizza for a good price. Friendly service and relaxed ambiance. Good choice of wines. Staff even offered a newspaper. Frequented by locals which is always a good indication.

A very nice and helpful waiter, who gave us delicious, reasonably priced food and drink. We sat on the street tables which gave a very nice ambience, as it's located on a pretty Bordeaux side street.
