Away from the hustle & bustle of the Tourist Restaurants in Milan, La Mongolfiera is a fine dining restaurant frequented by the locals. One of the best Antipasta buffet presentations is located inside the entrance for those hungry enough to want to start here. The menu consists of family style meals prepared to perfection. Pasta, Pizza, Seasonal Vegetable dishes & fresh Seafood. The Steaks cooked on hot irons & then served on a hot plate from the oven are a specialty of the house. The Tagliata is one of the best steak dishes for those who enjoy meat. The local wines & beers are reasonably priced & even the House wine which is a Sangiovese is excellent. The staff are very pleasant and make you feel welcome as visitors to their home.

EFFICACE ED EFFICIENTE
The restaurant, the menu and the presentation are a bit old-fashioned even if from the pics it looked a bit more modern. Anyway, the food was nice. We ordered an artichoke and parmesan salad together with grilled fillet, which was cooked perfectly and of good quality. They offered us some pastries and vin santo or dessert.

AMPIA SCELTA - Il menù è variegato e casalingo: spazia dai tortelli di zucca alle penne alla tirolese, dalla pasta ai fagioli alle penne al salmone. Fra i secondi l’ottima carne alla griglia di pietra oppure il pesce come l’orata al forno. Da provare anche le pizze o i piatti unici, fra cui il gulash con risotto alla milanese.
DETTAGLI IN PIU’ - Non mancano i dolci fatti in casi tutti deliziosi: come resistere alla zuppa inglese, allo strudel o ai vari sorbetti? Buona anche la selezione di vini da tutta Italia.
