We had a fabulous evening.the food, wine and staff were all fantastic. It is slightly out of the centre of town but easily walkable and well worth the effort. We would definitely go again.
My wife and I and two friends had a delicious lunch today. It was very busy with locals enjoying the delicious food. We had great service even though It was very busy. I suggest you book in advance as many people were turned away at the door. Lovely food, great wine and friendly efficient service. Perfect!
Fun atmosphere, great service and lovely meal!
THe most amazing little place. Buzzing with great atmosphere, amazing staff and gorgeous food. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Bordeaux!
we like everthing.. The owner accepted us nice and warmly. the food was very tasty. The atmosphere was very good. There was a feeling of family hospitality. And the prices are very reasonable.
Food was very good. The restaurant was tight inside but full of diners. Reservations are a must. The razor clams were outstanding. Also try the Arincini appetizer. Very delicious.
Best fois gras ever - cool place with locals - super nice owner and staff. A real treat.
Good neighborhood place. Welcoming warm and professional. The food can be superb or just plain good but the conviviality is always spot on. Prices are fair.
A superb restaurant, excellent friendly helpful staff, delicious food and great wines. It has a relaxed atmosphere and a great menu. We dont speak much French but the staffs English was excellent. Great service.
They were out of 3 of the dishes that we wanted. We waited 40 minutes between courses and the food arrived cold.
Booked here on the back of great reviews online and was not disappointed. Bit out of town but was really busy - always a good sign! Great welcome, friendly staff and the menu and specials were very professionally explained. Recommended top wines and the food was excellent! Highly recommend this restaurant if visiting Bordeaux for a taste of a true French Bistro!
very good value for price. not run-of-the-mill menu offerings. good selection of reasonably-priced good wines. laid back, friendly efficient service & ambience. tables packed adding to bistro atmosphere.
We booked this restaurant after a hard days driving through trip advisor. Received confirmation of our booking for 7pm. To find the restaurant closed until 02.09.19. Annoying as by then, all good restaurants were already full. Not a good recommendation, and frustrating for us. Why could there not be a closed for holidays banner. Bad.
Very pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff, the panna cotta was the best I’ve ever had, but the steak was chewy and inconsistently cooked.
Très bon moment en famille !
Great little find, went with our two children and the atmosphere was perfect. Food was delicious and well explained to us in good English (our French is a little weak) good selection of wine and a wee shot of home made rum to finish. We'd embarrassingly run out of money for a tip so hopefully this review will do. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and a very good meal in a casual setting. Wonderful service.
What a wonderful place! We will definitely come back again! Great service, great food at reasonable prices. Make sure to make a reservation because if you don’t it’s likely you won’t get a table. The word is definitely out this place is a gem! We had Foie Gras maison and Tuna Tataki with Frites everything delicious from start to finish! Thanks again to the staff who are truly a team working to serve you!
Excellente soirée en famille !
My husband and I had the most wonderful meal here to celebrate my birthday. The food was absolutely top class - possibly the best quality steak we have ever had! Everything about it was perfect. The waiters were friendly and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble. If we were staying longer in Bordeaux we would have had all our dinners here! This place is a gem. A buzzing atmosphere was made all the more special by a team of staff who clearly love what they do. A pleasure to visit. Embarrassingly for us, we forgot to add a tip to the credit card when we were paying, the result of too many shots of the vanilla caramel rum with Derek I suspect. We phoned that night as soon as we realised to explain our embarrassment and apologise. Unfortunately our flight home was so early we couldn't even pop out in the morning to drop it off before we left. Sorry about that Derek and team. We will be back to Bordeaux and will definitely make it up to you all then!
