Good food, great service, wonderful location. You are partially in the rock formation at the bottom of a castle. The food is very good and the staff was both helpful abs efficient

Wonderful restaurant with deliciously composed meals that go beyond the basic 'steak frites' but really serve up something wonderful - would recommend to anyone visiting Beynac!

Two of us went twice, for dinner and Sunday lunch, and both times the entrees were original, beautifully presented and delicious. The main courses though were just lumps of overcooked meat with some overcooked veg. Some effort had gone into the presentation of the veg but the second time both our dishes were really disappointing. We had no dessert and with 2 gin and tonics, one tonic and 2 coffees the bill came to 114 euros. We have had much better meals in the locality for considerably less.

Yikes. The food was actually good and the outside of the restaurant was cute. But the service was a total comedy of errors, the inside was stuffy and there was a line for the bathroom halfway through the dining room part of the night. Anyway, we asked for champagne as we reviewed the menu. Not good champagne. Oxidized and sour. Sigh. Then the red wine came warm. Like Luke warm. Again, sigh. Then, no food for 45 minutes! Other tables literally finished their meals while we waited for starters. Finally we told a waitress, we are hungry, can we get our food? The original waiter comes back and all cheerful, is like, so…are you ready to start your meal? We were just floored! Lol. (Idiot.). Each course was like pulling teeth. Looking arround, waving random servers down. Finally, 2 1/2 hours later, we order dessert as part of our menu. My husband just wants decaf expresso despite paying for a dessert. No expresso. At that point we were just so happy to escape. And I barely did on their terrible spiral staircase. It was cinematic - like a reverse national lampoon movie. Yikes!

Everything we had was delicious. It was a hot day but there were misters to keep you cool. We don’t speak French, but had no problems. Can’t recommend enough!

Smiling staff and gorgeous terrace alongside the street, under a pergola of grape vines, with misting to combat the heat. Food was excellent.

Lovely atmosphere, vine covered terrace with cooling spray, friendly staff, quick service. Perhaps not as many choices of food as I was expecting so my husband didn’t really find dishes he would have chosen if there was more choice. The food was very well cooked and beautifully presented. My starter of smoked salmon and various vegetables was totally delicious.
