Great food, great atmosphere, excellent service what more could you want...........................................................
Calidad precio buena.
The restaurant was very cozy. When we arrived the waitress welcomed us at the door. Later on she helped us with the menu and came back to our table several times To check if everything was ok, she was very funny and very helpful, she was working alone and many people at the restaurant but she made us feel like we were alone there..thank you Cassandra! The food was excellent - best in Paris!
We were there 2 times with 3 adults. Very nice cuisine, best service and overall very enjoyable!
Such a wonderful restaurant for our first night in Paris. Our waitress was so lovely the entire evening and made us feel so welcome, as well as being so accommodating of our bad French! The food was out of this world- bone marrow, steak tartare and pistachio crème brûlée are all must haves from the menu. The whole experience was amazing, and has made it very hard to find anywhere that matches the standard it has set for Parisian dining.
I really liked this restaurant. The service was fantastic. The staff was very welcoming, explained the menu in detail, and performed their job efficiently. I would definitely return here. The atmosphere was relaxed. The food was very good. I had the soup and the fish of the day. my husband had the razor clams and seafood risotto. All the food was consistently good. We both enjoyed our evening very much.
We were well received and seated by the friendly young waitress. We had a tasty three-course lunch nicely prepared and served within a minimum of waiting time. The waitress also helped us choose a light red wine which matched the different menu choices. There was a local crowd sitting at a table next to us speaking with loud voices which made it slightly difficult to have a peaceful conversation, but that was just about all. Otherwise a perfect lunch in a nice setting and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommendable!
great food and friendly staff
It’s an excellent, not too big, quaint place with great atmosphere, very good food and even better service. We came back for seconds the next day.
Excellent service & inspired cuisine. Razor clams are a must. Tartare breton was surprisingly different from traditional standard. Fish of the day was a bit dry. Great wine recommendation. Clean bathrooms but locks need to be fixed???? We were 6 people and had a really good time! We will come back!
Must try spot - spectacular food and even better service.
The hospitality is beyond the price! I delayed 30 minutes. But they do not mind at all. Moreover the manager and her colleague often contact me with welcoming. The dishes, no surprise. But delicious food with a little accent. In their specialite, steak tartar, they use Passe Pierre. It brings the different texture for it. I felt evry stuff is educated and well managed restaurants.
A really friendly welcome for our group of 12, and our waitress went above and beyond to look after one of our group who wasn't feeling 100%. The place was a bit on the small side and the menu a little limited, but the food was great (especially the flank steak and mash!) and altogether we had a lovely evening!
The food was exceptional and the service was friendly and inviting. You must try the bone marrow and beef tartare. Excellent! We were very surprised and impressed with the pistachio creme brûlée. We dined early and the restaurant was rather uncrowded so we got personalized service from the staff. They were a pleasure to get to know and provided us great recommendations and tips for our stay while in Paris. This is definitely a restaurant we will return to.
Tout au top a faire
Excellent Parisian food with super friendly service. Cozy place on a cold night. For Paris, not crazy expensive. Not cheap but very good quality so well worth it.
This restaurant was a lucky find. I was searching for restaurants in the 5th where we are staying and I’m known for my noir wardrobe, so I had to check out the Black “Pie” when I ran across it. The reviews were glowing and it’s a 3 minute walk, so.,,,we had a great dinner, staff was friendly and attentive. A wonderful evening. Recommend the fricasseed mushrooms in red wine sauce starter, and the scallops in saffron risotto. We going back tomorrow night!
Probably one of the best restaurant in Paris, a typical French restaurant with a very nice service, thanks to Cassandra who gave me great advice on wine. And what about the food .. The tartare is excellent, the poached egg is fabulous and La Crème Brulée.. I will come back I must try to test all the dishes and also the huge Profiterole.
Very disappointed this time, after 3 years celebrating a birthday here. Cooking quality was very low compared to previous years. Tried 2 wines, both were not good. The waitress was not really helpful and even after explaining the situation didn't really bother. In short, we did not spend a good evening and won't come back ;-( Too bad, as I was delighted the previous years.
The staff were friendly and very cheerful. It was an unforgettable experience for us. This is exactly how we imagined the Parisians. We recommend this bistro to anyone who wants to try good food and drink good wine.
Absolutely delicious and the sweetest servers we've had in Paris. Definitely recommend!
Warm hospitality combined with delicious food in a comfortable environment. We will be back again soon!
We started with a lovely foie gras that was soft as butter. I had the daily special duck breast that was cooked to perfection. My husband had a steak that was also very good. They each had potato and salad accompaniments.
Great food, and the staff was great!
This small restaurant is a good option if you are in the area. We had the beef and they were well cooked. As starters we got the liver snd the paté ok but I would suggest to also add some "charcuterie ou fromage" to it. The desserts are huge and nice but too much after 2 dishes. The profiterole & the creme brulee are a safe option. We did it was our couple's anniversary but did not offer us any shots or anything at the end. It costs us 99€ including tips, service is nice and warm. If you have the hotel near by it is a worth a try. I would not go back in my next visit because I like trying new places but I know is there. Merci!
We had been here once before. Food is really delicious, well-priced wines, very good vibe, very welcoming. No problem at all for gluten-free if you are celiac. They have a few cocktails too. Hectic on weekends, but if you want a more quiet, romantic experience, weekdays probably better. Casual place. For those who are hearty eaters, try the pork chop.
What a lovely little place! If we lived in Paris, we would be regulars. They are as friendly and welcoming as if we were old friends. Combined with good food and reasonable prices, this was a true find. Wine was also quite reasonable. Highly recommend!!
First night in Paris and it did not disappoint us! I thought that Paris will be intimidating but I was so wrong. Very welcoming staff and delicious food! Worth every penny!
Came here for lunch , had the set menu. Terrine of rabbit and the main course was a pork dish with mash potatoes , Food was tasty and satisfying , service professional, warm and friendly . Would recommend if you are around the vicinity
Excellent service; friendly and superb food and recommendations!
This is a fantastic restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the waiter was charming and wonderful. Thankfully La Pie noir doesn’t seem to have been discovered by many tourists yet and it has a great and intimate atmosphere as a result. Will definitely return!
Exceptional service and level of friendliness. We are traveling with young children which can be tough. They're good kids, but still, in Paris, eating out with young ones can be challenging. We were made to feel welcome from the start. And the food? Superb! Scallops over saffron risotto? Perfectly prepared. It was a memorable evening!
What a pleasant night. Good humoured service, a friendly atmosphere in a small but crowded restaurant and great food and wine. What’s not to like!
One of the finest meals I have had in Paris! Amazing atmosphere and and amazing staff. A wonderful evening. Will go back for sure.
Really good price-value-ratio. We have had 3 courses for 32 Euro and every dish was delicious!
The service was lovely and such a relief to get out of the tourist trap restaurant. The scallops and risotto were great. My husband loved the marrow entre and steak tartare main. The creme pistache dessert was amazing and I don't typically go for sweets (it was perfectly balanced). If there was one small shortcoming I'd say the flank steak could have used some more tenderizing or marinating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
It was bad cooking starting from poorly cooked and flavored Razor Clams (they had sand in it) and finishing with untasty rough rubber Beef Steak (they charged us extra 20 dollars above the price of 19 dollar for main set without proper explanation). But the main problem of this “La Pie Noir” is an inappropriate way of how the owner of the restaurant treated us, the clients, who came friendly and visiting Paris for so many times but never meeting such haughty and arrogant manager. The waitress tho was okay, but always disappeared (even smoking on her duty on the street in front of the clients). This place has a lot of stuff to be fixed and they are major issues. The only good thing was red wine which was suggested only when we realized and demanded the proper treatment. Still prices are way too exaggerated for wine. I do not recommend it.Piece.
Wonderful local restaurant, great menu and wine list. Food is excellent and the staff are brilliant. Well worth a visit
Loved this place! Our last night in Paris and the staff could not have been more Charming and the food could not have been better. A great, memorable experience.
