About the restaurant La Quimera

Very bad experience!

Very rude personnel, behaving in an extremely inappropriate manner to people coming from "The Fork", and trying to take as much money as they can. They do not even try to create any solutions to problems they caused by providing missing information. We booked table for 6 people, our guest visiting us from Turkey. They asked for additional 150 EUR for the show which was not specified in the reservation page. If i had known it was 25 EUR per person, I would have never made the reservation here.

Their location is not convenient to go. Thus they think that if you go there, you would not turn back and would pay anything they ask for. We lost more than 1 hour to go there and then paid 30 EUR to taxi to turn back to Salamanca.

I would never ever recommend this place.

The atmosphere was fantastic, the wait staff was amazing, the food was fantastic! And the Flemenco dancing was authentic and entertaining! I’m glad I reserved via thefork and gave this place a try. I would definitely come back when I return to Madrid! Thanks for being so accommodating.

The flamenco show was great, authentic. The food was just ok, but that is not what really matters in this place.

The flamenco dancing was great. The menu was limited to a few tapas, but they were good. We were disappointed that after being told upon entering, that the cover charge was 14.50E, we were then notified that the cover would be 20E because of the food discount. We held our ground and insisted that we pay the normal cover charge and the owner finally agreed. I believe you need to discuss this problem with restaurant management as the discount virtually disappears if the patron is forced to pay a higher cover.
