Fantastic Spot 100% go for the paella, locals says it’s the best in the city. Also great wines and the service was spot on, Decor is very authentic to the region
Execelente Paella, y el servicio genial.
We were so excited to try some squid ink paella this evening however because of a rushed dining experience from our waiter he placed our order wrong and when we requested our correct meal he said the chefs had already left for the evening. Luckily he did end up bringing out a seafood paella but it was still not what we had originally requested. Food and ambiance was great just unfortunately poor service.
The restaurant provides great food and service. We had entrees and a Valencian paella that was cooked to order (about 40 minutes) and was delicious. The prices are very affordable
The paella Valencia chicken was really dry. I managed to finish the rice, but the rice was not that great too. I didn't manage to finish the chicken. Not a good paella experience.
Very nice staff, good service, and delicious paella. It is also possible to order paella just for one person.
Las almejas a la marinera muyyyy saladas y la salsa como aguachirri. Comí 3. La paella valenciana bien. Al punto y rica
Great menu, food delicious and loved the decor. Service was quick and attentive too! Excellent!
Best paella I have ever had and good value too. 11 euro for the valencian one. Service was good - you, need to book as they were turning people awau!
The paella which was the main reason I went to the restaurant unfortunately did not have the crispy bottom I was expecting. The paella was too wet and did not create any crispy bits at all. The appetizers we ordered (grilled squid and scrambled eggs with mushrooms & ham) were both excellent.
This was a great spot specifically because they will do paella for one. On the menu, it is listed for 2 but when I asked they said it wasn’t a problem. It was necessary to book in advance. The place was packed and they did not accept any walk-ins (there was a sign posted on the door). Im not sure I would go back with a group but if I’m ever solo and craving paella, I’ll book here.
Authentiek restaurant. Lekkere paëlla. Gastvrij.
Typical Valencia restaurant with friendly staff and good service. Food is also good, we had baby octopus, grilled squid and seashell paella. All very good and tasty
Great service excellent Food , absolutely worth to wait in a silent dark alley @ 9pm. All in sudden, door open. We were the third party walk in . Great with reservation. Within 15 min, whole restaurant filled in and filled with gourmet and cheer. Excellent experience in Venacia. Of course. Don’t missed the paella.
For a place that specialises in Paella I was disappointed to find that our Valencian Paella had no crusty socarrat on the bottom, the meat was all very overcooked and dry and the flavour was lacking depth, mostly just tasted of chicken stock.
Excellent food. We had lobster paella and it was delicious. Very friendly service. Lovely atmosphere and interesting decor. Highly recommended.
Excellent rice in Paella Valencia. Chicken dry and overcooked. Service rude and abrupt. Wine service pathetic. First wine recommended tasted like it had been open for days. Then asked for a wIne recommendation and the wine list was tossed on our table. But rice was excellent.
To put it in perspective, this moderately touristy (much less touristy than those places with the wicker chairs that feed foreigners bellinis at all hours of the day, some locals there), the day after Valencia day, was booked up for the entire dinner calendar. As others have noted, they are nice to singletons. They will serve paella on request to just one, in a smaller pan (which is honestly enough for two). They also don't list any wines by the glass but did have a house wine they served by the glass. The paella valenciana had a lovely socarrat, and the meat was good. They use a wide, flat green bean (okay) and the other beans they used (dry, much larger than lima) were very tasty. I've been making paella at home and so I wanted to have proper paella at least once in Valencia, and I think this delivered. The esgarret valenciana was also very good. They're open only briefly and make sure you reserve, but I do recommend them.
