9/10Great little BYO French restaurant. Some dishes are priced towards the top end however others are more reasonable. This guy can cook! One server for a room and street front that’d seat about 36 but she is professional and attentive. We’ll be back, for sure.

10/10Authentic French food in a cosy restaurant. Great food, great service. I will return again and work my way through the menu. Highlights for me....the lambs brains, deep fried Camembert, creme brulee and crepes citron.

9.5/10La saveur’s owner and chef Jame’s food is always spot on and the service, although they only had one waitress, was almost faultless. Frankly I don’t know how they do it but we always walk away happy and eager to go back. If you haven’t tried it do yourself a favor and give it a go. The fact that it is BYO is great as we get to have our fav wines with us be of our fav cooking.

8/10It has been a long time since our last visit and this little gem has lost none of its character. The food was tasty and nicely presented but a little too salty for my taste. The big bonus is the BYO and low corkage. The seafood pie is particularly nice and the steamed veg done to be perfectly al dente.

10/10Exceptional little French restaurant, another neighborhood gem. Julie the waitress is amazing and attends to all tables in a timely manner. If you love French cuisine, then this is the place. Great food, reasonably priced and we always go back.

10/10A fantastic lunch with a friend in which we had the snails as an entree, a most amazing Seafood pie each that was truly sensational and finished off with a crème brûlée with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I’ll definitely be back. The owner & Managwrvqas such a lovely guy, fabulous food. An absolute gem in Rozelle/Balmain.

7/10This is a lovely little BYO restaurant run by James- in fact James does everything. It is quite good value. The steaks are excellent. I'd make one suggestion ...the brains....a bit dry and tasteless ..probably need to vary the recipe with a fresher approach perhaps sauteed with capers and lemon ...the cassoulet, the duck with cherries are very good...give it a go.

8/10Not disappointed. This was our second visit. Standard of food was just as high. I do think that some of the chairs need a bit of a refresh as they do sink very low in the centre, and need one of the few cushions they have on offer.

9/10The duck, the steak, the moules marinieres, all beautiful. The crepe Suzette not quite correct - I'm talking French perfectionism here. Loved the informal cafe atmosphere and the service was excellent.

9.5/10This little French restaurant is a great find! While the owner/chef is not a Frenchman, he most certainly knows French cooking! The duck is always amazing as is the King Prawns and Abalone. On our most recent visit I also tried the French Onion soup which was the best I have ever had! highly recommended.
