Amazing food. Very kind staff, beautiful setting . A place to go!!
A bit off the beaten track but worth seeking this place out. The owner is very personable and definitely committed to providing his guests with a memorable dining experience. The view from the terrace is incredible and the food top notch. Wine list is concise, well thought out and fairly priced. We'll make sure to return here every time we're back visiting the area.
Eating at La Savie was a life experience! Absolutely authentic cuisine, set in a secluded forest location with panoramic views. The chef gave us his full attention and helped us understand/translate the exquisite menu. We felt very privileged.
We had an amazing dinner at La Savie. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. The owner, who is also the and the chef was very charming and made us very welcome. We highly recommend the restaurant and hope to come back in the future. It is a hidden gem!
A charming little gem tucked away .A warm reception coupled with inventive delicious dishes .Frederick the owner chef explained certain dishes along the way and was passionate about sourcing his ingredients. The menu is not large -3 of each entrees, mains and desserts-but all were equally divine -highly recommended-Brian and Sandra-UK
I had a wonderful salad of bulghur and chicken. Delightful setting on a hot summer evening. Service was excellent. The chef is inspired to use successfully local, high quality ingredients and with imaginative, creative twists.
Amazing location, spectacular food, wonderful night.
Main course was a great disappointment choice was a sausage dish or veal casserole the casserole was a joke in England this would be described as gruel portion size small no vegetables considering the marvellous produce of the area only 3 tiny cubes of carrot. Very expensive for what was served up Very disappointing
Wonderful food and service in a very secluded rural setting with a beautiful view. Remember to turn off your GPS and follow the signs when you get close as GPS is not accurate. Greatly exceeded expectations!
Fantastic meal in a rural and tranquil setting. Blown away by the local wine (st. cyprien, so less than 8 kilometers away). Our best meal in France, which is saying something as we're big eaters and were visiting France well over two weeks.
Our dishes were very well prepared with local ingredients, very fresh and healthy. Place is absolutely delightful, worth the lovely drive from Sarlat where we stayed.
This was a dining experience to be remembered always. The setting is remarkably beautiful. The food was beyond wonderful. In fact my appetizer was, as I told our host and Chef, the best taste I have ever had. Both of our meals were extraordinarily lovely. Not just delicious but artistically beautiful as well. My French is very bad but the chef kindly helped me try to communicate in French although he speaks perfect English. We are at the start of our three week visit to France And our dinner at La Savie will be one of our most special memories.
We come here every summer we visit St Cyprien and are never disappointed. The food is wonderful. It is presented so beautifully. Would recommend anybody who appreciates good food to come here.
Nice restaurant, good setting (worth the trip!), excellent food, service and atmosphere. Menu offers nice choice with flexibity to cater for kids. Also good wine list. One of the nicest places we have been to in the Dordogne.
This is a very different experience to the same-same of Dordogne dining. The restaurant is about 10 km from St Cyprien into the small villages and fields, and in a relaxing and yet sophisticated venue. The meal was inventive and delicious, and not a duck to be seen. After about 5 days of duck it’s great to see a chef thinking about what he serves. Local produce, exceptional service and truly a night to remember.
A wonderful lunch with high quality local ingredients and interesting local wine in a beautiful country garden setting
Superb in every way.
We had a lovely evening sitting outside on the terrace for our 4 course dinner. Fredric the chef was most attentive and answered our questions about his food. We were very impressed with the renovations he made to an old farmhouse and barn to turn it into a state of the art kitchen and dining room. We wish him much luck with his restaurant.
Superb dinner, from start to finish ... a creative, personalized meal to suit our vegetarian preference. The setting on the terrace coud not have been nicer, nor the service more friendly or pleasant. Truly a rare experience not to be missed. Highly recommend!!
Excellent restaurant. Very relaxed and beautiful cuisine. Lovely owners.
