About the restaurant La Scène - Prince de Galles

WHAT A SHOW! – A breathtaking decor with marble, white leather, wood and light, surrounding a central open kitchen where two renowned chefs practice their art. We are at La Scène, the table of the Prince de Galles hotel, on avenue George V.

THE CHEF – Trained by two "Meilleurs Ouvriers de France" -Philippe Legendre (George V) and Philippe Jourdin (Terre Blanche)- and winner of Top Chef 2011, Stéphanie Le Quellec gives personality and generosity to her cuisine. This results in dishes combining fire and grace, of measured simplicity and sophistication always.

SWEET TOUCH – As a conclusion, the show ends with the sweet creations of Nicolas Paciello. Passionate and gourmet, the young Pastry Chef creates elegant pastries with a subtle taste and brings back their former glory to traditional desserts of French Pastry.

Food was very ordinary. It was ok, but not worth the prices being charged. We were expecting something special given the Michelin star rating, but it did not deliver.

Collecting our most valuable guests’ feedback is crucial for us in aim to continue to enhance the service delivered to our guests. I would like to sincerely express my apologies. The issues you described are definitely not reflecting our usually very high levels of food and I regret that you had such an experience at our Maison de Luxe.

The tasting menu was superb. The service was flawless with information supplied with each course: "The best butter and bread in France, asparagus from the south of France, in season...." Everyone was so friendly. As we departed, we were given a small wrapped box with a pastry for our morning coffee. If I could quibble at all, maybe a few more wine choices under 100 euros. All else was fairly priced for a fabulous meal. Highly recommend.

We tried to order the 4 courses desgustation but 2 of us dont take pigeon Staff insisted no chamge of menu even if 2 others in group opt to change similar dishes what to be offered We ordered ala carte finally but the main dishes werr all bland Such a disappoi

This was a lovely meal with excellent service. The only drawback was that my husband asked for a glass of red wine and unfortunately left the choice to one of the waiters. When we got the bill we were shocked to see that the one glass was 32 euros! A full bottle maybe, but ONE GLASS!?!? At least we have a cautionary tale to tell...
