        About the restaurant La Scène Thélème

        LE RESTAURANT
        En lieu et place de l’ancienne table gastronomique de Guy Savoy, l’art de la table et de la scène viennent se rencontrer dans un lieu unique. La Scène Thélème - du nom inspirée par l’Abbaye de Thélème, utopie de Rabelais - lève le rideau à la rentrée 2016. Elle naît du désir de Jean-Marie Gurné, épicurien et amoureux de l’expression artistique sous toutes ses formes, de créer un lieu de vie positif où vivre plusieurs découvertes le temps d’une soirée. A 19h, le spectacle commence côté théâtre dans une salle indépendante du restaurant, où se jouent des pièces sélectionnées par M. Gurné. Une fois la faim arrivée, l’exquise cuisine étoilée du chef Pierre Rigothier vient prendre la vedette à la table gastronomique. Foie gras de canard de Vendée en ravioles, artichauts, aubergines et jus de volaille acidulé ; truffe noire en rémoulade, céleri, amandes, coulis de truffe, et chips de pain ; Saint-Jacques d’Écosse, arancini et marmelade de citron… La partition se joue à la perfection.

        LE CHEF
        Avec un CV paré d’excellence étoilée (Il passe par l’Espadon du Ritz, le Laurent ou encore l’hôtel Vernet), le chef Pierre Rigothier n’a pas mis longtemps à décrocher à son tour la fameuse récompense du guide rouge lorsqu’il dirigeait le Baudelaire. Quelques mois après ses débuts à La Scène Thélème, il récupère son étoile. A la pâtisserie, c’est le brillant Pierre Chirac qui joue les héros des becs sucrés.

        Took the Lunch menu, I've dined at many Michelin restaurants and love my food however I struggled to finish each course.

        Zero atmosphere in the place, few guests, won't be returning.

        Customer satisfaction is essential for us, so thank you for taking the time to write this review. Unfortunately, we can not do much about the fact that you feel there was « zero atmosphere". The lunch you experienced was, as is rarely the case, very quiet, we did not have many reserved tables and the atmosphere was really very quiet. You answered several times to your Maître d’Hôtel (and to me as well) that everything was fine. Your exact word was "lovely".
        Anyway, your comments on the food were taken into consideration and forwarded to Pierre Rigothier, the chef.
        I am reachable by phone if you would like to share your experience in more detail and give us the chance to make you change your mind about your desire not to return.

        The welcoming and the service were wonderful, the food was excellent, everyone enjoyed the dinner. At the end it was really more expensive than I thought (with the fixed menu it would have been cheaper) but for sure I will come back and bring other customers in my next visit in Paris!

        Quelle belle surprise !
        Cadre moderne et élégant, jolie table, couverts en argent. Service irréprochable de toute l'équipe
        et surtout mets exquis.
        Nous avons découvert ce restaurant via les 'Menus gourmands du mardi'.
        Tout était parfait, des amuse-ouches aux mignardises. Champagne et vins également de qualité

        Went here on our 1st night in Paris, the service was exceptional and the recommendations for the wine were perfect. The food is high quality French fine dining and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A definite if you are looking for a special meal at a very reasonable cost.

        Just wonderful! I went with my mother for a ladies lunch and it was everything I could have hoped for. Wonderful food - an excellent choice of fine produce superbly prepared and presented.         I spent my 30th birthday at the restaurant, no regrets. My guests were happy and really enjoyed their meals.
        The team did a good job at accommodating one pescetarian guest.
