Fabulous dining experience and the Chef took his time to come and talk us through the menu .. food was outstanding and service exceptional.. we had the wine paring this was excellent too …so much so we went to the supplier and purchased some to take home !

I have not enjoyed a meal so much for a long time. There was imagination, adventure and respect for quality ingredients in the 98 euro menu, with at least three stand-out courses. One, the St Pierre (John Dory) was exceptional and reminded me of visits to Gordon Ramsey in his prime. If a couple of dishes worked slightly less well - the chapon, in particular - it did not detract from the overall experience. Service was superb throughout. My wine choice was a joy and all credit to La Serre for being early adopters of Gigondas blanc. We genuinely can’t wait to go back next year to try this example of French restaurant skills at their (almost) finest. Walking distance of the town centre too…

We had the pleasure of dining at La Serre last night, and it was truly an exquisite experience from start to finish. The ambiance was simple yet sophisticated, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff catering to our every need. As for the food, each dish was a masterpiece in itself. The flavors were expertly crafted, showcasing the chef's culinary skills and creativity. From the delicate appetizers to the decadent desserts, every bite was a delight for the senses. Overall, La Serre exceeded all our expectations and delivered a dining experience fit for a connoisseur. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of culinary excellence in a refined setting.

I cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant. Every course was a delight, wonderful quality of food & expertly prepared. The service was the right balance of professional and friendly. The location & restaurant decor were lovely, making for a very comfortable and enjoyable evening.

First time at La Serre and we were very impressed even though we only chose the basic menu. Although served very promptly at the beginning, we were then left a long time before dessert arrived. It was well worth the wait when it arrived but we got the feeling that the kitchen was dealing with everyone else's mains before doing our pudding. Staff seemed nice but our waiter had no time to chat/answer questions or observations or smile and only did so as we left. He needs a charm offensive!
