10/10Food, service, atmosphere were fantastic. Small restaurant (6-8 tables) with a quiet atmosphere. Service was attentive but discreet. It is a menu restaurant, so plan on being there at least two hours. Great wine list too!

10/10I've been to multiple Michelin star restaurants in Paris and New York and this was my first in Lyon. This may have been the best meal of my life. This small restaurant with only a few tables provides a special level of service where the Owner/Sommeliere/Server are the same person. Her warmth and friendliness is above and beyond. Her demeanor would be inviting to someone completely new to Michelin dining or a seasoned veteran. This is fine dining without the pretentiousness. But the best meal of my life has to include the food! The food mirrored the service. You won't find unnecessary foams or sugar sculptures. Instead you find that every ingredient has a purpose to these perfectly balanced courses that include surprising flavor combinations that were both unexpected AND delicious. I wont go through every item on the menu (which changes with each season) but as an example, the Cod...perfect selection of the ingredient, perfect execution of the cooking, served with a seafood broth/white wine butter sauce, this was the first time I had Cod that tasted like a scallop! And, the addition of celery was both surprising and delicious. There wasn't anything overly complicated about this dish. It was just a simple dish that was perfectly executed. The last thing I will note is that we added the wine pairing and it did not disappoint. Each choice was a fantastic match for the dish. I am not a big wine guy so I couldn't tell you why one wine worked versus other options...I just trusted the Sommeliere and it was wonderful. I hope they never change this restaurant. The intimacy and the people set it apart. I wish I had a reason to come to Lyon more often.

10/10Wow!! Came to Lyon for an exceptional culinary experience. La Sommelier did not disappoint! The Ginger aperitif was beautiful. The meal and wine pairing were superb. Do not miss this opportunity. Intimate ambience with only 4 tables. Definitely one of my favorite Michelin star experiences.

8/10Starters and mains were brilliant. However was disappointed with the dessert ( strawberries served with various condiments) which I felt was a bit lazy

10/10This was our first Michelin star restaurant experience, and we were beyond impressed. Shoko Hasegawa provided excellent service and wine pairings, and the food itself was the best we have ever had. The whole experience was marvelous, and we feel honored we got the opportunity to visit.

9.5/10Beautiful presentation and preparation. However, the large portions were too much food for us, perhaps one fish course too many and too heavy on salt throughout. Amuse bouche of foie gras egg roll was innovative but too greasy for a start. My favorite plate was the grapefruit course. Muzak cheapened the ambiance which was well lit and spacious despite the restaurant's small size.

10/10This little gem in a small alley in Lyon was simply the best, the chef of Japanese ascendance prepared a fantastic occidental menu and the price was little to pay for a wonderful dining experience, help yourself to an 18-year-old Hibaki at the end of your meal, we give our highest recommendation to dine here any day if you are lucky enough to secure a table (there are only three).

10/10One of the best meals I have had in a long time! And I dine out a lot! They really should have 2-3 Michelin stars. The price is reasonable at €72. I did the wine pairing for the add’l €38. My favorite dishes were the duck, crawfish consommé, wild boar and apple creme. But really everything was fabulous! The place settings were impeccable as was the service from the very gracious Shako.
