Service was not friendly and we felt unwelcome.
Although we made a reservation, we were given a really small table in the back of the restaurant, by the WC.
When we asked to move, since there were other empty tables, this was refused because "each table seats 6" - even though it was clear that we had several tall men in our party, and we even had to seat on the corner of the table.
Food was good (we had the Cosido"), but it doesn't justify another visit. There are plenty of other restaurants in Madrid that will serve you as good or better Cosido, with a smile.
This is a tourist restaurant in a very touristic area. The attendants were clearly fed up of serving tourists.
We will certainly not come back and I would not recommend it to anyone.

They had no idea who or what the Fork were. They said there was no reservation. No reservation needed anyway as restaurant was empty. We had the cocido madrileno... Soup was tasteless and overcooked pasta,, meat was greasy, chorizo was poor quality, chickpeas seemed tinned, omelette were pre-prepared and no variations allowed. Expensive and definitely not worth it.

No need to make a reservation, as only one other table was occupied when we arrived. The staff still did not manage to provide decent service and were hanging around most of the time taking to each other. Food was ok (although somewhat basic), but overpriced.

First time in Madrid and looking for a good "cocido". This is the right place for it! Very good meal and our waitress was very kind! We have come here to eat twice in a week!
