excellent menu dégustation.
Restaurant excellent à tous points de vue.
Very kind and welcoming service even arriving for a late lunch at 1.30 pm on an Thursday. Excellent cuisine, delicate and well balanced. And a marvelous half bottle of Saint Véran.
je me regale toujours chez Blot, belle regularite!
Expensive but excellent quality so worth it, only complaint was that they push for the dessert order when you order the first courses as some of the desserts apparently take one hour to cook but I do not like to decide about dessert until I have finished my main course. in fact after the meal they brought enough sweet things with coffee we really did not need to desserts. The degustation is probably better value for money option. we will go back.

We had an excellent lunch here. This was our second visit to the Auberge du Chateau. We had a wonderful lunch - I started with green asparagus, then sea bass and a delicious strawberry dessert. The cuisine is imaginative and first class - of course this comes with a price - we paid over 300 euros for three for lunch - three glasses of champagne, three courses each and a bottle of white wine (67 euros - near the cheaper end of the list). Great for a celebration. Our departure could have been a bit more warm and personalized - we were leaving without anyone saying 'goodbye' then at the last minute Mme Blot saw us going out the door and did offer a goodbye. I think there was a wedding or other event going on so perhaps the service was stretched a bit thin. Not a big deal but at this level of restaurant you expect perfection.
professional attentive staff. good is pretty good. it has a Michelin star, but not every element of every dish is made to perfection, such as the asperges millefeuille (asperges were brilliantly cooked, but the millefeuille was not crispy at all). Some dishes were lacking taste. The turbot again was just perfect. no vegetarian main courses on the list. overall good value for money.
