It was our last day in France and wanted a memorable gastronomic experience. After visiting the beautiful Chateau, we had an opportunity to cool in the bar while waiting for our 7:30 seating. We were greeted very warmly and seated immediately. Was charmed by the very considerate touch of the wooden mushroom used to seat my purse. We chose the Chef Julien's prix fixe and was delighted with the starters (tomato caviar or foie gras terrine), the carp in variation entree for both of us, the desserts of strawberry dumplings or rhubarb elderflower blocks. We added the cheese course and had a delicious variety to choose from. Our courses were paired with Loire Sancerre and Burgundy Pinot Noir. The service was great and we had a nice time.

Dining room needs to be redesigned, it is terribly out of style and could accommodate more diners if it were updated.
Good and attentive service, competent sommelier, friendly reception. The food a major letdown. Looked and tasted as if re-heated. Lacked style and verve, not to mention fresh-from-the -pan wholesomeness. (These judgements based on 40 years' experience).
