Second visit here and I am happy to report that La Table du Couvent remains at the top of its game. From the exquisitely well prepared oeufs cocottes to the perfectly cooked wood-grilled beef, this is surely the place to come to taste the real boeuf de limousin. Service is always attentive but never overbearing, and Ronan gets my vote as one of the best servers in France. A modest but well chosen wine list and a superb chariot de fromage round off the experience. The defining room is a real treat as well. Where else can you eat beef while a life-sized stuffed steer looks on with approval! Very much recommended.

As always, was made to feel very welcome. The food is amazing, cooked over the fire so has a smoky hint. Dessert of the day was delicious, and the cheese selection as always, was superb

Good food, but not better than in others restaurants in Limoges, and very very long service : 15mn to get the menu, 1h and a half to get the main course ! First time and last time I went there. Really disappointed.
