We had lunch here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It had been a few years since our last visit and the interior is now much warmer than before. We had the set 3 course lunch (no choice) for €26 each. The food was fantastic and the chef certainly knows how to add flavour. Our only gripe was the price for a glass of wine. My wife had a local Gamay at €8 and I had a Bordeaux at €9. These were nothing special and are expensive in comparison to similar restaurants in Bergerac and surrounding area.
Great place with really good food and great natural wines by the glass. The only negative point for me was the power of the air conditioning. But they reduced it when I asked to please do so.
Based on previous reviews our expectations were high. Service was less than friendly - at the end we were forced to wait 20 minutes before leaving our table to ask for the bill ourselves. Overall our dishes were disappointing- liquid mashed potato, tough steak and extremely pretentious atmosphere. We are from London and this is certainly not fine dining, so please do go elsewhere if this is what you are looking for.
Superb, inventive cuisine. Fresh, aromatic, local ingredients. Completed with a sensational raspberry soufflé. Also home-baked bread as light as you find anywhere
Always good and this was no exception. One of us had a la carte and one menu du jour. Although disappointed with the raspberry souflee the rest of the meal was exceptional.
Tres belle decouverte !
Excellent inventive cuisine accompanied by good wines.
Everything was perfect. Nice atmosphere. And the menu we choose was delicious.
Beautifully prepared food, would highly recommend.
Fantastic food experience with an impeccable taste for details ... 5 stars
Wonderful, interesting meal in relaxed surroundings, with helpful, friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Intimate venue with an excellent ambience, very good service and imaginative cuisine
A. Very pleasant experience. We chose the 44 euro 5 course menu which was supplemented by 2 amuses bouche. Superb food and, frankly, cheap at the price. Attentive service. We are English but tried to speak French which was , I think, appreciated. We ate on a Tuesday evening in November and the restaurant was less than half full so not exactly a buzzing atmosphere but the food and wine amply made up for that. Recommended.
