The food was delicious and the service was very slick. We had reserved a table on line in the afternoon, and had received the email confirmation. However, the restaurant didn’t have us on their list. No problem though. They took our details again and found us a table.

La Tasca has always been my favourite restaurant and I was excited to return now it was reopened at lakeside. I can’t fault the service in any means, the staff were amazing and the food came out super fast. I was disappointed that the restaurant didn’t have much Covid safety except a couple bottles of sanitiser upon entering. The tables were still as normal with people filling them closely. On other restaurant visits they have been spaced out with tables off limits in between to keep a safer distance. This wasn’t the case here. Also so many of the favourite dishes were gone with the menu change and the choice was far smaller! Barley any choice at all! The food wasn’t up to it’s usual tasty standard, the Patatas bravas was so incredibly spicey we weren’t able to eat it. (They did take this off the bill for us which was kind and another thing that was great service wise) We missed the chicken croquettes, the pork cheek, the origanal patatas bravas recipe, the white fish. Just a few examples but so much was missed. So gutted as la Tasca has always been a favourite I’ve been every birthday for several years but we won’t be returning unless there’s a menu change in the future as today was disappointing. La Tascas old menu 1000% beats this new change.

We were a party of four ladies & found the restaurant very welcoming, the service was prompt & friendly. Our starters were delicious, be it they were very small for the value. All tapas dishes were pipping hot & very delicious.
