Este gastrobar y restaurante creativo esconde una bonita historia. La de su joven chef Edgar Mascarell que, a golpe de olfato, pasión e inconformismo, se ha convertido en un prometedor cocinero. Trabajar en Shanghai fue la mejor experiencia de su vida -”allí despegué y no he vuelto a aterrizar”, dice- y conocer a su pareja Paula Faus, clave para montar su negocio -”con ella somos un equipo completo y fuerte”-. Se han atrevido con un restaurante de autor donde conviven sabores locales y orientales.

La Taska ocupa un pequeño local en el centro histórico de Vilallonga, el municipio natal de Edgar. Es un espacio informal y acogedor, que combina detalles tradicionales y contemporáneos en su decoración. Divertido, como su carta, donde conviven recetas como la paella de pato y setas y la fideuá taiwanesa con toques asiáticos y plancton marino. Sigue volando, Edgar.

    An absolute pleasure. A busy lunchtime, but no delays, no mistakes, and first class food. It's always difficult to choose sensibly when you're eating alone, so I ended up with a salad which woud have served three normal people, plus two smaller dishes. All were outstanding although the ceviche was nothing like a Peruvian or Panamanian ceviche - but good nonetheless. I'll be back.

    I will make this in English. Paula (front of house) and Edgar (exceptional head chef) always ensure that you have an outstanding dining experience. Edgar always wants to add a little extra to the excellent Valencian menu from the knowledge and experiences they have gained on their travels. A real gem of a restaurant in a great village in La Safor.
