We had a pleasant welcome to the restaurant. Our waiter was gracious, helpful & professional. As it was a lovely day, weather wise, we had a table outdoors and the view of the vineyards is beautiful. The Sauternes is a delight and a must try if you love swet wine. Their BIO apple juice is pure & delicious. We were given a small verrine of peas, which was light and tasty and the different type of bread rolls are delectable. I am not a fig fan, but do try the fig roll, it is worth it!! The starters of the BIO poached egg & tuna are delicious. The beef fillet, salad & chips was lovely. The chicken (ballotine de volaille fermiere) is so original and tasty & the fish of the day with vegetables and the most divine sauce is a delight too. To end off, please try the plate of mignardises (mini desserts) Highly recommended.
Beautiful venue, staff were amazing and food was delicious. Would highly recommend. Also the wine was fabulous. Get there early to bag a spot near the front of the terrace.
Unfortunately we were overcharged quite significantly: my husband pointed it out at the time and then when we got to the car we realised we had been overcharged again! For a €200 it was disappointing. Our waitress was not at all attentive and at one point removed our table light to give to another table and left us in darkness!
Always excellent; we’re long time fans!
Beautiful views from this lovely restaurant with its huge terrace over looking the vineyards of St Emillion. Excellent food & service & wine list. Highly recommend it ????
We came for a family lunch : 5 adults, a 3 year old and a 6 month old. The staff were generally very good, allowing space and time as you need with young children. The food and wine were delicious and better and we were lucky enough to have a window table with view, super! Will be back!
Rien à dire. Un peu intrusif quant à la confirmation et reconfirmation et re...... de la réservation
Restaurant was beautiful with fantastic scenery. Lunch was good but service was a tad slow and we had to rush for our next appointment. We were there for 1.5 hours. We had the set lunch and the portions were generous and we couldn’t finish our main course.
The food, wine and service are all excellent. The elevated terrace location adds another dimension entirely- especially near sunset. .
They were obviously overwhelmed with the seating. Sat us quickly with no menu, no water and for almost 20 minutes, no server. We finally waved someone down who found our server. From that point forward we were ignored, other than runners bringing the food. This was the case all around us. We sat again for a very long time until we flagged someone else down to ask for our check. Forget about an offer for dessert or coffee. Terrible experience after so many other great meals in Bordeaux.
I love the setting amongst the vineyards. It's a real shame that the lighting in the restaurant is so poor. It's like being in an airport with flu tubes running don't the ceiling. For the great food and friendly service to be matched, I think an interior design make-over is required!
Good idea of the restaurant, wonderful location, beautiful views, but really touristic place. The duck was not possible to chew( Service was very good and fast.
beautiful , setting, great food and wine
Service was far too slow. Food came before wine was ordered. Staff are pleasant but overstretched. When I mentioned to waitress that my chicken was undercooked she said it was just because it had chorizo in it and that made it look red. There was no mention of chorizo on menu and had there been I would not have ordered the dish as I prefer not to eat processed small goods. I only ate a small mouthful and left the rest. No refund was offered, nor was there an apology. I left feeling both hungry and very irritated.
We recommend this restaurant. Really nice.
This Restaurant is always a gem to visit! Excellent food and atmosphere! Thank you
I think that this restaurant is definitely overrated. The food is not that special. I ordered a fillet steak and it came out medium well when I ordered medium. Many restaurants in Bordeaux have better taste with the same price. Definitely will not come back there.
Initial welcome reserved but staff warmed to the service when they realised we were drinking a bottle of wine with each course. Great setting overlooking vineyards as far as the eye could see to the village of Pomerol in the far distance.
