About the restaurant La Tour des Chartrons

"Cozy atmosphere - At La Tour des Chartrons, the main concern of the team of this charming traditional restaurant, located in the heart of Bordeaux, is to make you spend a delicious moment of relaxation and culinary pleasure. The framework happily lends itself to this saying: large room decorated with a beautiful fireplace, dim lights, walls vaulted with dressed stone... You'll love to linger you at the restaurant.

Gustatory pleasures - The cuisine of the chef reinvents French cuisine and offers a gourmet barrage of entrées, main courses and desserts depending on the season and the market. Tartare of tuna for freshness, lamb shank or scallops, one delightfully barbecued and others just seared to preserve all the flavors. It also offers barbecues over wood fire (grilled meats, suckling pig for groups).

Evenings of wine tasting - La Tour des Chartrons is also a place where you can come to sip a glass of wine accompanied by an oenologist or even listen to jazz or attend live concerts always in a very gourmet framework!"

A wonderful find, modern French restaurant, just out of the way, in the north area of the city, Chartrons, 5 min walk from several tram stops. This place is worth seeking out, the fixed menus are great value and the standard of food wonderful. Service with a smile, although a phrase book may come in handy, if your French is no better than English, but to our party of 6, that added to the pleasure. I strongly recommend the Lamb shank in mash. The restaurant typified, what Bordeaux was and seems to be aspiring too be, once again, a classy city.

Lovely server/patron. Menu at 14€ was extraordinary value: carpaccio of veal and grilled shrimp as starters. Trout and faux filet (very tasty) as main course. Lovely setting. Highly recommended.

A very enjoyable experience. Food was delicious and the experience was made all the more pleasurable due to excellent service. Waiter was very friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment of arrival. He took time to explain the dishes on the menu and provided really good wine recommendations to match the dishes. Lovely atmosphere made the whole evening one that will be remembered. I would recommend a visit to this restaurant without hesitation. Thank you!!

We dined at this Restaurant last night, on a Monday night it was full.
The warm welcome and pleasantries by the staff were excellent.
We felt very much looked after, the food was very good and large serves.
We saw the young chef come out into the dining room to prepare a large
peace of steak on the open fire in the Restaurant and he was whistling
and very calm. Thankyou to your staff, of which there only two, they were
courteous and friendly, I have no hesitation in recommending this Restaurant.
Australian diners.
