Poco distante da Porta Ticinese, la Darsena e la movida dei Navigli c’è questo tranquillo locale dove accoglienza e ambiente vogliono far sentire l’atmosfera cordiale e famigliare delle tipiche trattorie. Un locale intimo e conviviale, con un tocco di freschezza e attenzioni particolari, a partire dalla musica dal vivo e dalla entrée di benvenuto.

Qui i cavalli di battaglia sono sicuramente – come promette il nome stesso – i classici della cucina milanese e lombarda, dal risotto allo zafferano alla cotoletta, ai mondeghili, con piccole varianti che li rendono più sfiziosi e interessanti. Salvo per le specialità che richiedono lunghe cotture, come il tenerissimo ossobuco, dalla cucina escono piatti realizzati espresso, il che giustifica il rispetto dei corretti tempi di cottura. Ma la piccola attesa vale la pena.

Fra i piatti in carta, abbondanti e ben presentati, i fiori di zucca fritti e ripieni di baccalà mantecato, la Parmigiana di zucchine e melanzane con gorgonzola filante, il risotto allo zafferano o quello “al salto” con ragù di luganega su crema di parmigiano. E fra i secondi, i già citati mondeghili al gorgonzola con “spuma” di senape, ossobuco in gremolada col risotto, la cotoletta milanese (alta e con l’osso) con patate rustiche o una succulenta e abbondante costata grigliata (da circa 600 g). Dolci fatti in casa, come il semifreddo al pistacchio e cioccolato o lo zuccotto. Oltre alla carta, in settimana a pranzo, per chi ha fretta, c’è anche il menu “Mordi e fuggi”. Carta dei vini contenuta per scelta ma di qualità, come anche il vino della Casa.

    Dishes were traditional, but very creative at the same time and the service provided was extraordinary with good suggestions, asking for our needs, I was traveling with my teenage daughter for her Italian food research project at the time..... We had fantastic spumante - was not a prosecco nor franciacorta,,, was really good. Salad (special big portion) and risotto Milanese followed by cotoletta milanese (“vera “cotoletta milanese). Salad condiments did not include BalsamicVinegar and this was also good served with red wine vinegar. Balsamico became worldwide hit today, but used to be popular in the Emilia-Romagna area. For me (I spent 5 years in Italy in the late 80s’ - all what was served had clear traditional touch, but had innovative presentation. The man who seemed as the boss and the lady who seemed as his partner, both entertained us with perfect interaction.

    Nice place, we had lunch upstairs which we believe is the best room. Waiters are very nice and the food was served fast. Typical risotto with ossobuco was excellent, maybe just a little too salty. We appreciated the "aperitivo" offered by the restaurant consisting in white wine and some fried vegetables. Very honest price at the end, so recommended to everyone for typical Milano cuisine.

    Was really amazing , with the service , the stuffs , the foods , desserts and the locals , very rare to find something like this in Italy, we were really impressed and very happy that we have been here. Highly recommended! We return! Thank you for everything:)

    Good good and a familiarservice AT reasonable prices. The food was a la nonna, like homemade cooking. The menu is rather small but with a good range of dishes. Btw, we were the only non-Italian and the TrattOsteria was nearly fully booked. Always a good hint. Highly recommendable!

    Wonderful experience. It is a traditional and familiar restaurant, but also quite modern. It was a very hot day in Milano and they offered me a fresh glass of champagne. I had the risotto milanese, which was simply divine. A place to revisit.
