The staff was rushing and stomping down stairs which spoilt the mood slightly. There was a significant time gap between the amuse-bouche and the first course. Incorrect wine was delivered by the staff. The restaurant was a bit warm. The waitress did send us off to our waiting car at the end of the meal which was good.

First impression was unwelcoming staff. Next was offering Champagne with no mention of price, leaving two possibilities 1) its complimentary 2) they want to put the customer in a position where they are embarrassed to ask and therefore purchase it blind. It was obviously 2. This restaurant isn't good enough to cater to those for whom money is no object, so they shouldn't act like they are. Paying 50 euro for 2 glasses of champagne only grates when the rest of the meal lets you down. For the first time ever I left a lousy tip. The steak tartare was average, the filet steak was sinewy and a bit bland. The rest of the food was good but nothing to write home about. If you are thinking about this restaurant you obviously have enough money to go somewhere very nice.... so I would suggest you do.

As in many restaurants we present the champagnes in a basin.
You took champagne roederer pink, it's champagne prestige.
The tartare of beef smoked with caviar is the caviar that season the tartare.
For beef Waygu, the origin is japan, this beef is parsley so the fat is present, it is its specificity, it is normal.

Server was snooty and abrupt. Gave us little time to review menu and appeared irritated that we needed more time before placing an order. Food was overpriced for quality. le service et la convivialité est une valeur aussi importante que la cuisine et nous y sommes très attachés.
Peut être que les explications des différents menus et de devoir choisir le même menu pour l'ensemble de la table...
Pour le porto millésime 2000, du sédiment c'est normal et le sommelier n'a pas trouvé de bouchon dans le verre.
Notre travail, c'est de faire plaisir chaque jour et nous savons prendre nos responsabilités quand il faut.

If you would like to enjoy your meal (a piece of art with a fantastic taste) you must visit the restaurant. I visit the restaurant for several years, but not often as the meal is expensive. Meanwhile I pay not only for my meal but also for the enjoyable time during the meal and drink. Thanks a lot to the Chief Cook (merci, cuisinier en chef)! AIZ

Service was excruciatingly slow. up to 45 min between courses and we ordered the 7 course menu! We literally fell asleep between courses. The food was mediocre at best, especially given the price. Totally overpriced. Of the 4-5 servers that served us, there was only one who lady server who we thought was genuine and professional. Not sure if it was due to the booking being booked on the Fork, we felt we were being treated as lower class citizens, being shoved into the cellar.

Small place, attractive. Welcome pleasant. Had the 4 course tasting menu which also included two amuse bouches, 2 plalette cleansers, a pre dessert and mignonettes! Food was varied and all quite delicious but didn't really notice too much in the way of truffles! Subtle.

Service was great except for headguy,,,not very welcoming, attitude, and when he had a problem with credit card machine blamed ny card and asked if I had another. Told him no and it was working just fine up until then. He sighed, tried again, and it of course worked. Bad taste at end of otherwise nice experience.

It was our observation that diners who reserved from The Fork (Fourchette) were relegated to the cellar room. We also had the Fourchette menu, and couldn't order from the regular menu. It was odd that the servers in the cellar were all women, and the upstairs dining room were all men.

Nous sommes toujours intéressés à lire les observations de la clientèle.

En même temps parfois surpris de certains avis mais bon...

Concernant la clientèle qui réserve par la fourchette, on ne la relègue pas à la cave. Il faut savoir que le restaurant à 2 niveaux donc nous essayons en fonction des demandes de faire pour le mieux.

Je me permet de rappeler qu'il n'y a pas de menus "spécial Fourchette", en plus vous avez choisi à la carte avec la remise de 20%.

Pour l'équipe, nous faisons le choix en début de service et c'est l'équipe qui décide de savoir qui travaillera en salle du bas ou en salle du haut. Nous le saurons pour une prochaine fois.

En attendant nous espérons vous avoir fait plaisir durant votre passage dans notre restaurant.

Consistent with other reviews this was expensive, and the discount does not apply to the degustation/tasting menu which they told us about after we had ordered it so it was difficult to unwind at that point. Downside is the service was too attentive - so much so that we couldn't have an uninterrupted conversation throughout the meal as they kept filling water, wine, asking if all was ok continuously - it became a bit of a joke after awhile but it made the evening stressful in a funny way.

The quality of food and service is excellent. We made reservation, so no wait at all. Everything was great. However, they did not give us the discount that was advertised on thefork when booking throughout this site. I forgot to ask, so that was disappointing. That is why I rated the value for money as expensive. I still recommend it though.
