The cuisine of this gastronomic temple of Old Bordeaux continues to attract with the quality of its products and the mastery of its culinary repertoire.

THE BEST FROM THE SOUTHWEST - entry onto the Rotisserie and a stall of fresh products... Every day, the chef visits the surrounding markets and local producers, looking for rare pearls. Products are then prepared without artifice.

GOURMET STREET - Since 1968, la Tupina made small encounters, and today the street Porte de la Monnaie multiplies gourmet encounters: Café Tupina, Kuzina, Bar Cave or even Au Comestible, the grocery store, embody the spirit of the founder."

Charming restaurant. We sat outside and I recommend you do too if it’s dinner because they cook their meat on an amazing open flame stove in the middle of the restaurant - charming in winter ... not so much in July. We had a lovely table outside and despite the roof of the building literally catching on fire and requiring fire trucks to be dispatched - the staff hardly skipped a beat. Portions were generous and well presented - the dishes were rustic, well seasoned - simple but all delicious.

Ordered Rib of Beef at 120 euro, tasteless, tough and total waste of money!

Our waiter was new and did not know how to handle the opening, decanting or pouring of our wine. After the initial pour, there was little attention to the empty glasses The large rib steak was undercooked. That was corrected after.
The staff was friendly and helpful when directed and the food presentation was excellent. Although, two of the meals were late.

Beautiful location and building. Service very good. The food was good but not quite to my taste. A large portion of meat (excellently cooked) with sliced fried potatoes, no vegetables. For meat focused lovers probably just right, but I prefer a more balanced menu.

We must have hit this restaurant on a bad night, there seemed to be several mistakes not only on our table.
There also was a middle-aged woman there who appeared to be (possibly) in charge, she was quite ignorant to all.
Not a setting I will go back to.

We are both stunned at the poor quality of service and the food. The chicken tasted like a school dinner, old and dry. The "crouton" was a soggy piece of greasy bread. Can't even be bothered to list everything that was wrong with this meal.

The steak's crust was perfect.

Very good quality, lovingly prepared rustic food. We had the chateuabriand, pot au feu and rigatoni dish, all delicious. Generous serving of bread, rillettes ans butter, overall good value for money!

Both of our starters were good. The wine which was recommended by the waitress was also very good. However my steak which was was ordered rare was over cooked and the fries were very soggy and my wife’s pasta was tasteless. The desert was ok. The ambiance was very good and the waitresses were very efficient.

This is a truly excellent restaurant. The service is really good but not intrusive, the atmosphere is brilliant and the food was fabulous. We loved it.
