The wait staff didn’t come to our table enough. We were also seated in direct sunlight so it was blistering hot. The food was great. A little more service to make the guests feel welcome would have been nice.

Excellent location, next to the park with a nice view. Service was excellent - very attentive and quick. The place is charged with history and probably worth visiting for that. Some of the decor feels dated for a luxury hotel, but overall it still looks nice. And to get to the main point - the food. We were quite hungry and excited about the experience; unfortunately the food was underwhelming (the pea soup was bland, the octopus chewy, the pollack was ok, the fries had a bit of an off-taste, the sauté potatoes had flavor but were too oily for my taste). There is no menu option, appetizers are priced 18-30 EUR, a glass of champagne is 24 EUR (a glass of wine starts at 16), sides come extra etc. so you easily end up paying a bill worth of a high class cuisine for what seemed to us average food (even if nicely decorated).

Do not get the duck confeti- unless you duck that’s too ducky. The dessert was alright. I love octopus and have it everywhere and it was not that great here.

The setting is nice as it overlooks the park which is part of the Trianon Estate at Versailles, although you cannot see the Chateaux. Service was attentive. Food was ok. I am a vegetarian and the restaurant was described as vegetarian friendly. There were 3 veggie starters. The ancient tomatoes were light and had a nice flavour. The veggie main was described as spring vegetables of the moment. No description was provided to give you any idea what to expect. I would describe the dish as a small winter casserole of root vegetables, which was ok but nothing special. It would have been nice to have a more accurate description of the dish, and a choice would have been nice. My husband had seabass which was average. The wine is overpriced. We had a €60 bottle of red as recommended by the maître d. I have had better from a supermarket for less than 10€.

For fine dining, the experience should feel special. This did not feel special. The staff were polite but needed prompted on a number of occasions. The food was ok, but was not special. I would not recommend.

Sunday lunch fixed price menu at EUR 75 + coffee + drinks. Ok meal in a nice setting on the veranda but over priced for what is fairly simple cooking. Enjoy for the setting and proximity to the parc but better cooking to be found elsewhere for a lower price. Service attentive.

The burrata was too cold, the angus was good but overpriced and the dish sides very “basic” the presentation in general could have been better, the dessert was very good.
