Loved the place , style , people, food , wine and service ! Definitely recommending . Escargots , scallops and chestnut creamy soup were all awesome. A veggie option for main dish was proposed when asked and delicious , servings were generous for a good French restaurant ! Wines were outstanding. And the couple running the place are really making it a delightful experience . Wine rack on a whole wall is spectacular .... have a fun time
A small, informal bistro serving excellent food based on the daily market with flavorful sauces. The owner gives a very warm welcome and recommends good wine matches. However, it is a bit expensive and would benefit from a reduced price lunch menu or plat du jour.
Vero very very good atention
Business trip , 5 people , booked off trip advisor review. Fabulous !!! Chestnut soup , the best thing I have eaten in France . Owner, lovely , recommended Great wines , and also looked after the vegetarian in our party . Go, you won’t be disappointed
Perfect French cuisine with top notch wine list
good Food and good Service. It is a small restaurant so is congested and not very comfortable seating with vry basic table and chairs.
We have eaten here twice. Food is fantastic. We had eight people and shared bites. There was nothing disappointing. (Lamb was my favorite!) Owner is charming with a delightful sense of humor and a strong knowledge of wine. Definitely a winner!
The owner was very friendly and recommended great wine with my dinner.
Nice gourmet food, nice atmosphere, expensive new year's menu 80 Euro/Person without drinks, good friendly service, overall nice place but expensive
The food was delicious. The owner was very sweet and kind. It was expensive.
We booked our dinner for New Years Eve at La Vie d’Ange. It was 4 miles from our hotel to the restaurant which didn’t seem like a long distance when I made the reservation. Due to the transportation strike and the holiday traffic it took us over an hour to get to the restaurant. The taxi ride was a little stressful but once we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Thierry and our wonderful evening began. The food was delicious and Thierry suggested a perfect wine to go with our meal. The restaurant is small and feels very cozy. I will definitely be back when I am in Paris next to try more of the fabulous dishes on the menu.
Small place with welcoming and warm service. Unfortunately food is not up to par. Dry fish and overcooked and chewy steak were both quite disappointing.
While La Vie d’Ange is a little pricey for a casual meal, we all agreed it was a reasonable exchange. The host was warm and inviting and not pushy at all. He was helpful with a wine selection after we had chosen our food. The food itself was delicious! I had the lamb braised for 7 hours, and it was flavorful and tender...just the right mix of spices in my opinion.
Excellent accueil, carte très riche et cuisine traditionnelle absolument excellente ! On reviendra !
Restaurant is small and cozy. The owner of the restaurant is so friendly. And the food taste really good. I strongly recommned to visit this place.
Coming here for dinner is like returning to a friends home for a meal and that friend is an excellent chef and sommelier. Don’t expect a quick bite. All meals are cooked to order, so expect a normal Parisian experience. Thierry and Aida are most welcoming and I return here whenever I am in Paris, which is 2-3 times a year. Go and enjoy!
We had a fantastic experience. A very warm and welcoming experience to start. The food and wine pairings were excellent and the owner was more than helpful in answering any questions we had. A great value for the quality of food and wine and overall experience.
Once I found this restaurant, I go every time I'm in Paris. The place is awesome!
The owner is very warm and welcoming. The restaurant is small and cozy, not at all what I expected, but a small neighborhood spot. Fois gras was nicely prepared, duck maigre was overcooked, but portion was huge.
Extraordinary meal. Gracious and helpful host. This is an intimate, 10 table restaurant. Service, for our group of seven, and, for other tables of two, was attentive but not intrusive. Portions were generous. I loved the seared foie gras. The lamb shank was the best I have had. I will be back!
