5.5/10When brunch is 145 euros each, you expect something special. This was a huge disappointment for what we hoped would be a special meal. We were seated next to the coat rack, and had to call a waiter each time we wanted a drink. Brunch was a buffet: the cold portion was good, but by the time we got to the hot food, they had started clearing away without letting us know. We had to ask them to stop and make up plates….which came with overcooked fish and cold rice. Honestly this is the very worst service we have ever experienced in 25 years of dining in Michelin-starred restaurants…..they should be ashamed of themselves.

Dear Sir, first of all we are wishing you all the best for 2025! then, regarding your brunch with us on January 1st. We do agree and apologize on the location of your table near the coat rack, it should be not placed in the restaurant room. About the food, you can easily see that other guest gave us a not of 10/10 for this brunch. As per it's called, it's a brunch, so you do have to serve you by yourself on the buffet set. For the wine, you do have to call the waiter, especially when you do have ordered wine by glass and not a bottle as you did. The food variety available this year have been enhanced, with products like fresh lobster, truffles, on request Serrano ham cutting, and many other dish. Due to a buffet setting, you may experience some issues with the hot food, even if we are paying attention to it, by clearing and providing new ones during the length of the meal. By arriving at 1,30, you may have faced what you have described as the buffet was set and regularly refreshed since 11 am. Regards.

10/10Lovely setting outside in the shadow of a big tree. Excellent reception and service. And the food was what you expect from a Michelin star chef. My compliments!

6/10Disappointing for a five star hotel. Main fish course was cold, undercooked and lacked seasoning. Disinterested drinks service.

9.5/10Overall, very good dining experience. At first, service was slow to respond and seemed overwhelmed with other tables. I had to seek out someone to just bring us water after ~ 15 minutes. From then on, service was well-paced. Food was excellently prepared and very creative. Some of the table that had the tomato for dessert did not care for it, but the idea and presentation was very interesting.

10/10Set in a delightful walled courtyard in the old town section of Avignon, we enjoyed a superb 5 course dinner (plus aperitif, amuse bouche, and pre-dessert!!!), with a terrific and attentive waitstaff. The chef is so creative with both preparation and presentation. He definitely deserves the Michelin star rating. This is the best of the three one star restaurants we have tried on this vacation in France. Highly recommended.

5.5/10The food was fresh and tasty and the servers very nice and accommodating. But I am puzzled how this restaurant received a Michelin star. There were too many things that I never experienced in a Michelin started establishment. The dishes miss creativity and sophistication. There was nothing surprising or unusual in the mix of tastes. Our food order was taken before we were asked for the choice of wine. The sommelier arrived only after we call him to the table. The bottle of wine was left on the table and we had to serve ourselves. We were served by one server + the sommelier no other help for the entire restaurant. In consequence the service was very rushed. While it was efficient, the dishes arrived rapidly one after the other, we had little time to take a breath between them. All this to say that in my option the value for money is not great - you pay for a Michelin started restaurant but get just a good restaurant serving small portions.

7/10Nice room and appropriately formal for a Michelin star restaurant. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented. Wine list is extensive and the white Burgundy we had was exceptional. However with only 2 tables seated at lunch the restaurant ran out of brioche bread? Then unfortunately a strand of something was found in the chocolate Opera desert. Hope it was a whisker from a pastry brush and not a hair. The food was 10/10 but disappointing that because of these two lapses and comparing to other Michelin restaurants I can not rate this restaurant higher than a 7./10. Worth a visit and good value.

9.5/10The desserts were exceptional, other courses were good. Melon with foie gras didn’t really work - and ideally the bouillabaisse sauce wouldn’t be used across two dishes. The John Dory would work well with a simple champagne sauce.

9/10Food and wine was was very good. Expected higher attentiveness; no offer to hang up costs, never filling water. Seemed to be bit understaffed for a Michelin star restaurant.

10/10Beautifully prepared & presented food, in a pleasant setting, with excellent, welcoming and helpful service. A new favourite for us. We look forward to our next meal there.
