    Be prepared to go with the flow. Friendly and helpful English speaking owner does all the floor work ,greeting,waiting advising,cashier ect Patience is rewarded with great dishes well presented and with great wine pairing recommendations. Not inexpensive But genuine and good quantity.

    The restaurant was a very good place and the Host was very polite and engaged. He was explaining the wines and the food very patiently. Food was very delicious. Recommended wine was fitting perfectly. Thanks for a great and pleasant evening.

    A small menu, executed beautifully, in a space once used as a cave à vin. The wine list is excellent, and Sylvain, the owner, is very knowledgeable about his wines. Highly recommended.

    Unfortunately it wasn’t what we hoped for but the waiter on duty was lovely. It was just heavily understaffed (1 waiter for 20-25 guests) so it took some time to both order and receive food and drinks, and the food was not up to the standard (meat being well overcooked) of a Michelin guide restaurant. We are sorry to leave a bad review but hope it helps the owners with improving the overall offering as it’s in a great location and the theme is very cool in a wine cellar.

    Only 1 server. I think is the owner. Place is busy, 80% full. He tried his best to serve all the tables. Food is good to excellent. My veal is overcooked a bit, but my wife's duck breast is excellent.

    Outstanding dining experience! Sylvain was a marvelous host and sommelier, pairing our courses with great wines. Our escargot appetizer and entrees of sweetbreads, squid, and pork entree du jour were standouts. The wine cave ambience is wonderful. We highly recommend.

    This restaurant had an interesting ambiance being in what felt like a wine cellar. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter was helpful in choosing a good bottle of the local St Emilion wine to accompany our meal. We enjoyed two appetizers: white asparagus with chorizo, poached eggs in red wine with a little foie gras; then two main courses of sweetbreads and cod. Best dish by far was asparagus. Enjoyed all the others as well. Presentation was nice on all dishes. Finished with a cheese plate for dessert that included a local truffled cheese which was divine.

    The service, food was exquisite, ambience was extremely comfortable. No rush, food was made to order. We had the squid and duck breast entrees, both perfectly made. Will return again soon for New Year day day dinner.

    We were a party of ten on a bike trip looking for a great food experience, good wine and good service. We found all three at Lard et Bouchon! Thank you for a lovely evening.

    We were first in the restaurant at 7 and it felt strange and very quiet, especially as you are underground, but within an hour every table was occupied and the place came alive. Food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and presented. Thanks chef. Enough choices without being overwhelming. Service first class. Very friendly, helpful and informative. Huge selection of wines. A large percentage local but what ever your fancy, you will find it here. Priced very reasonably considering where you are. Overall a very good experience and will be back.
