we were spending our honeymoon in Paris, and it happened to be be my husband's birthday..we celebrated a nice romantic dinner there!... totally worth it, the live piano playing, the wonderful welcoming service, the quick service with such a delicious food and extremely well presented!... it is a bet pricy, but totally worth it for a romantic occasion dinner in Paris! would totally visit again when in Paris

Do not come here for a special occasion While the food is superb the attention to pleasing the patron is feeble at best I made them very aware it was our 50th wedding anniversary and they celebrated it by wishing my wife a happy 50th birthday with some strange ritual It is something one might expect in a third world country but not an expensive two star Parisian restaurant
Moreover I have no problem spending a lot of money when it is worth it and the food is some of the best I've had but the balance of the ambiance was lacking We had been here 25 years before whenRene Lasserre owned it and he made people feel special The current owners have improved the food but not the experience

Unique with the ambiance of Paris of 1940s . Increadible selection of wines , some are more then a hundred years old ! Typical and diverse French cousins , elegant presentation !

Absolutely fabulous for passing a romantic evening. However a bit expensive. We took the degustation menu, not all dishes were at equal quality.

Excellent food and wine. Lovely setting.

But afraid the service was much too busy, fast, and obtrusive. We were served our first three courses in less than an hour. We asked to please slow down the serving between intervals. Then next three courses came over 2 hours. Our table was near the entrance and servers station. It was so very uncomfortable as the serving staff were continously running around - at times 8 frantically bunched together by the server station.

Overall, it was a nice evening and delicious meal, but the service aspect along with the $700 bill for two was just not on. An unfortunately disappointing evening despite very high expectations.

We loved the food and service and, of course, the entire ambiance. It was slightly spoiled at first by seating us in front of the kitchen doors. We were able to change but probably because we were early. Who gets to sit in the center?

Outstanding! We're from the San Francisco area and e are accustomed to very good food. We're difficult to impress, but Lassarre made it worth staying up almost 48 hours for a fine dinner. Perfect service, artful presentation and exceptional food ... a nice blend of traditional French and a new creative French. Pricey, but worth every penny. A great way to start a trip to Paris.

Great food. Terrific wine list. Excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere - open to skies until sunset in the center courtyard. A meal for a special occasion, although a tad expensive.

Ehhh. The friend for whose sake I choose Lasserre was pleased. Not a place I would bother to return to. Small tastings. Nothing out of the ordinary at considerable price. One is paying more for the hot and cold running waiters (unobtrusive service) than for the food quality. As the rest of the world's restaurants have improved (London, Chicago), that of the Paris ones seems far less impressive. Quality of produce also no longer what it used to be.
