petit resto in the narrow street of Aix old city. cozy atmosphere. very welcoming people. food was delicious. went for the octopus with salad. tentacles were very tender. risotto with zuchinni and lemon zest was perfect. desert was just ok. overall a nice dedouvert, as the french are calling it.

I was extremely disappointed with our meal. There were only two servers and the dinner took forever. The wine was hot. The meat was rare. It was very expensive for what we received. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Un rapport qualité-prix un peu décevant avec quelques petits défauts dans l'assiette (champignons très amers, arrêtes dans le poisson). Malgré cela c'était très bon et recommandable si vous en avez les moyens

Smart little restaurant. Excellent service - water replenished without request, dishes cleared quickly. Attentive but unobtrusive staff.
Had 2 really good meals - scallop dish and seabass ravioli ith prawn and mussels for entrees and stuffed chicken for mains, followed by strawberry tiramisu. All prepared and served very well. Very good chicken and large portions - couldn't manage all of mine. Tiramisu was very light and delicious. Nice décor, white table clots and proper napkins. Pleasant ambience. Not the cheapest (just under 100 Euros for 3 courses, wine and coffee), but good value all the same. Would return if in Aix again.

Very hot evening but the hostess sat us outside where a little breeze kept us comfortable. The food was very good traditional French cuisine with a bit of a nouveau flair. I had the foie gras club, which was presented in the form of a cute brioche club sandwich. It was very tasty with several accoutrements to the fois gras. My pork tenderloin with artichokes, tomatoes was very good Provençal cooking. My wife had an equally tasty fish dish and my sister in law had a very well prepared chicken breast stuffed with bacon and mascarpone. Coffee mousse dessert was ok, but a bit over frozen. Portion sizes were ample by tradional French standards and the price at around 150 euros including a few drinks and the dessert was very reasonable

Enjoyed a great meal in the cave with my family and a friend. Everyone really liked their food and the atmosphere. I would think that eating in the cave enhanced the experience compared to the ground level dining room, but the food was very well prepared and the main reason for the high rating.

My wife and I chose to go to this restaurant on the first day we arrive at Aix-en-provence. As a Chinese, this is my first time to try authentic French food and it was really wonderful. We booked this hotel from this site based on previous good reviews and it is indeed worth all the compliments. The car park is a bit of hard to find so do not recommend drive there. My wife and I spent a splendid night here. We had the duck and callop for starters and beef/fish for the main courses. Wanted to try the cheese plate yet the volume was just too large so we gave up in the end. Yet the taste of all the dishes is simply fantasic. Also need to mention the service is absolutely brilliant, provided by a lovely girl. All the great dishes are recommended by this girl as I have absolutely no idea about French cuisine at all. Just a shame I did not got to know her name:-)

Anyway, it is highly recommended to have a night at this great place.
