Everything was excellent: very good dishes, you can taste the quality of the ingredients; the staff was friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the place was cozy, located in one of the beautiful streets of Avignon. Highly recommended!!!

Le 26 has a relaxed feeling and the food was very fresh and well prepared. We appreciated that the staff spoke English as we are not French speaking. The service was good but not invasive. We had the goat cheese salad and 2 entrees, one beef tenderloin on skewers and one honey duck. The carrots, potatoes and onion were a nice compliment to both dishes.

We were American visitors and just arrived in Avignon. B&B gave us recommendations which we choice this place. It was very convenient from our B&B Le Demis and the walk was less than 15 mins and very pleasant. The restuarant was quaint and elegant. The service was prompt and our server spoke english. I had the lamb shoulder which was outstanding. My wife had her usual Chicken Cesar salad which was more than she could eat. Highly recommend this establishment.

We arrived at the restaurant and were seated promptly at our reserved table, This followed with the delivery of the appetiser to the table. This however was to be the end of the prompt service all evening. My wide and I subsequently waited over 20 minutes to be asked whether we wound like anything to drink, which is quite sufferable in the August weather. During this time I had to personally obtain a digital menu card from another table for us to able to choose our wine and food, as still no service was to be seen. After the lengthy wait we chose our water, wine, out starters and main courses. The beverages thankfully arrived promptly after this and the starters soon afterwards. Unfortunately this was again the end of the prompt service. My wife and I after the clearing of the starters waited almost 45 minutes for our main courses to arrive. This however was less painfully as we had a bottle of wine to chat over this time so didn’t notice too much. The food brought was lovely as mentioned before we couldn’t fault the food here. Mains were cleats and the dessert order taken... 2 x cafe gourmand’s.... the waiter returns 5 minutes later informing us that they have run out of all the ingredient a to complete the dessert, we changed the order to 2 ice creams, only to be rejected again a further 5 minutes later and having to change the order a second time. The food at this establishment was without fault however the service leaves allot to be desired. I wouldn’t rate this restaurant at a 9+ but rather an 8-8.2.

Food was good, service terrible, kept having to ask for things 2 or 3 times, Rose wine was served warm had to ask for ice, then they ran out of ice! And to top it all they overcharged!!! We chose this because rating was 9.1 should be 1.9

Came to this restaurant on a Saturday night in October. The staff were very welcoming and the place was small but really nice. There wasn’t a big menu but we decided to have the 2 courses for €22.50 and they were delicious. I had the pumpkin soup and the shoulder of lamb. My partner had a starter salad and a steak. With the meal we enjoyed 2 glasses of good red wine and with coffee the price came to €60. I would Recommend this place.
