Really good food and an interesting ‘surprise’ menu so didn’t know what there would be. However the service really let them down. We ordered a wine flight and they forgot to bring it with one of the courses. You couldn’t easily catch their eye. This was disappointing and we considered it overpriced for such poor service.

Overall good quality produces, good wine list. We did 5 courses degustation and our pork was served raw (no apologies but just cooked the pork a little more a re-plates) overall very slow service, took 2 hours to get the first 2 courses. Seemed like all the stuff was stressed and they didn’t have the grip or control of service (including what seemed to be the manager that didn’t even come and talk to us after the main course was served raw)

Lovely staff and a gorgeous venue. I lay ate here a year ago and the menu surpris was, admittedly, much better and not creative. Perhaps we had a bad night or our food restriction (no raw meat) caused an issue. I will go back and try again in hopes of the inspired food that I experienced a year ago.

The setting was perfect, what a beautiful village. The wine list, of course, was notable. The food was good with friendly service. It was simple to get a reservation which I appreciated due to the language barrier.

The service was rather terrible for such highly rated establishment - no small plates for bread, no cleaning table between curses, had to ask, sommelier has very poor English.
