We really enjoy our meal and experience in Le 76! It was great we managed to reserve in advance as the place was full (mainly locals). Flavours of the food were amazing and we had amazing time. Service was great and they tried to help us as much as they could as we cannot speak French. We sat outside so we enjoyed the atmosphere. We totally recommend it!

A little Restaurant in a pedestrian area of the old town of Besancon. The menu is presented on a hand written blackboard, assuming daily changes (however, one listed dish was not available anyway. All our orders were very tasteful.

From the street the restaurant seems small and more of a bar, but the dining room is through in the back with plenty of room. We were here for lunch (it filled up really quickly) and the choices offered a wide range. I had lamb, which was perfect, my wife the burger which (fortunately for me) wasn't as 'done' as she likes, so we swapped - and it was possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had (which seems a weird thing to write for a French restaurant!). We finished with a delicious Paris-Brest. Staff were patient and attentive - we would certainly go back.

We ordered raw fish salad and chicken with morel sauce. The fish tasted rotten and there were no morels. Turns out they just grind up the morels and stuck them in a sauce, which was very misleading based on how they wrote their menu. The owner did, however, offer us to replace the fish. He offered a discount instead when we refused replacement. It was an ok experience

Good choice of mains, with starters limited to charcoutery (but very good). The slow roast lamb and the tuna were both excellent. Great service. Very popular place, booking recommended.

Not sure why this restaurant is rated so highly on Trip Advisor. The food was ok, edible but not much better than that. The service was good, however and the wine was also fine

Staff is welcoming. Unfortunately the quality of food is pretty poor. A mix of adding everything on the plate, tasteless, no dressing on the salad, savory dish mixed with fruits. Very slow service. Would not go there again. Don’t understand why the place has among the best ratings on TripAdvisor?

Food is good, the main courses were made with fresh and tasty ingredients. Would have loved a bit more support and proactivity from the staff in helping us understand all the menu options that were in French as it was obvious we do not speak the language. Good location, atmosphere was a bit noisy (we were seated inside).
