The staff, the food, the evening we spent our first visit was lovely. We loved it so much that we returned two days later. If we lived in this city, we would dine here weekly. It is a good deal for the price too. You feel like you are part of the community at this restaurant even if simply a tourist. Many local people eat here, and that speaks well for this restaurant also. Highly recommend to try to dine here if you are in the city. Thank you for a nice evening....twice!

I booked this lovely restaurant on line. The staff are amazing, very welcoming and great atmosphere. The food was amazing, cooked in front of you and the service and hospitality was very professional. I don't speak French the gentleman explained everything to me in English. Lovely little restaurant. The owner offers a warm welcome and takes great pride in the menu. The waiting staff are attentive and the chef is excellent, blending her Armenian culture into the food. All ingredients and produce are sourced locally. Absolute gem.

A wonderful restaurant just off the main square of la bastide in Carcassonne. The food is delicious and locally sourced. The staff are warm and inviting. Do yourself a favor and save room for dessert. The brioche perdu is unworldly!

We went here based on reviews we read, and we are so happy we did! The owner and his wife were so friendly. They explained the dishes and advised which wine to go for, even suggesting the slightly cheaper one. The food was perfectly cooked and the wine was gorgeous. We don't normally get dessert, but we saw other diner's and were jealous! Ours were beautiful and so simple as well. All in all, I cannot recommend Le-Bis-Troquet highly enough. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

We were in Carcassonne for a long weekend and wanted to book a restaurant in advance. This was one of the few that could be booked online and it had good reviews. There didn't appear to be a table reserved for us on arrival but there were free tables so that was fine. We sat there for 15 minutes before being acknowledged by a waiter who told us that he couldn't order any wine or meals and that we'd have to speak to the main waiter. We waited half an hour by which time we were considering leaving. He finally came over, described the dishes to us in English and brought over our wine. The food was actually really nice but the service was just too slow.

Wife had a tartine and salad which is their speciality while I had the pork cutlet plat du jour which was served with sautéed vegetables, pasta, and salad. We shared an excellent rosé recommended by the owner. Dessert was a meringue with lemon curd. Top quality food, fair price, and very nice service. If I lived in Carcassonne, I would be a regular here.

Such a nice place for lunch or dinner. Very personable owner who takes great pride in the fresh ingredients and preparation of all dishes. Highly recommend!
