I had snails, which were the worst i have ever had, on one side of the plate the snails had been over heated and were tough i cld not get it out the shell it was shriveled up. The cupputio looked like slices of cold meat sluced from a round roll of processed meat. Caesar salad looked just awful and colourless and my prawn and peach salad was bland with no dressing. Worst food experience in a long time. Very sad after reading the reviews and a very limited menu.

This was a great choice for dinner! The location, especially at night, was terrific with stunning views of both Invalides and the Eiffel. We were promptly and warmly greeted, the interior decor is rich and warm, we were provided a wonderful house taster of fresh mozzarella on a bed of greens with salmon bites. The dishes we ordered were prepared and presented very nicely - among the 3 of us we had the escargot, the bone marrow and the tuna tartare for starters. For the meal, 2 of us had the scallops and 1 the rumsteak, and for dessert 2 of us ordered the mi cuit and the other the tarte citron. All delicious! Highly recommend this as a destination meal.

I live close to the restaurant but never tried it before. Went there for the first time on the recommendation of a friend and really loved it. This is clearly summarized by my estimates above. In addition to that, one of the main assets of the restaurant is Maylis, the head waitress, a smiling, personable, intelligent young woman speaking perfect English. I and my family are sure to return to Le Bistrot de Gaspard again and again.
