LE RUSTIQUE, C’EST CHIC - Véritable objet gourmand non-identifié, le restaurant Le Bistrot du 7 est un joli troquet nantais aux airs de bouchon lyonnais. Nappes à carreaux et pierres apparentes pour le côté rustique, cadre chaleureux et accueil décontracté pour se sentir comme à la maison, voilà un repaire tradition qui fait grand bien au moral.

TRADI SINON RIEN - En avant les incontournables plats de bistrot ! Pour concocter ces délices authentiques, le Chef utilise des produits frais et des préparations maison : foie gras, terrine de porc, quenelle de brochet sauce homardine ou foie de veau aux échalotes, Tatin de boudin noir aux pommes puis crème brûlée à la vanille pour replonger en enfance.

High quality cozy bistro type restaurant with lots of great classical French selections. The Bistro 7 salad was copious and included; gesiers, confit de canard, duck liver paté, and melted goats cheese on toast-heaven. The mi-chaud chocolate fondu was the best I've ever had. Excellent red/white wine-by-the-glass selection. Five star dinner. Very reasonably priced.

The entrees and sidedishes were good. My dessert was excellent. Unfortunately the main part of the meal - the meat was disappointing.
The "medium" antrecote was so weirdly cooked that on some parts it was very well done and on some it was completely raw, so yeah, in average it was "medium", but somewhat inedible. The tartar had large chunks of meat and was quite bland.
